We recently had the chance to connect with Kurt Buzick and have shared our conversation below.
Kurt, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What are you chasing, and what would happen if you stopped?
Right now I am chasing my dream of owning and operating a brick and mortar metaphysical store. I love everything about what my type of business can offer people. If I stopped chasing this dream I’m not entirely sure what I’d be doing. My life is dedicated to the art of witchcraft so turning my passion into a thriving business just makes sense!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I stir a little magick into everything I offer. My mission is to be a wellspring of spiritual tools and services in a manner that is affordable, safe, and completely judgment-free. Whether you’re a beginner witch, seasoned practitioner or curious soul you belong with Buzick Magick. I’ll create or conjure whatever potion, charm, or enchanted item you seek, by any means necessary! Right now I am working on expanding the variety of magick I offer. It is my goal to provide authentic spiritual supplies and services to my local community and beyond. Through proper research I source the finest materials possible in my witchcraft. I use these materials to skillfully craft potions, tools, and charms; all at an affordable price for you!
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
The person I was before the world told me who I had to be is the person I am striving to be today. I have always had a dream to fill the world with a little more magick; To be a source of whimsy, wonder and imagination. I am returning back to who I was before the world told me to tone it down, sit still and fall in line.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
I stopped hiding my pain and started using it as my power when I became a witch. I discovered my faith in witchcraft when I was a pre-teen struggling though school amidst my parents nasty divorce. Initially, I found Wicca which helped me to transmute all of my negative energy into positive energy. Wicca also helped me to abstain from using baneful magick against my enemies and bullies rather than becoming a reckless teenage witch! While Wicca was exactly what I needed at the time, I grew away from it many years ago. I see now that even baneful magick has its place in the craft sometimes. For a witch that cannot harm cannot also heal. Nowadays I am finding my own path to the secrets of the hidden arts, and so far, I think it’s working…
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I believe that spirituality and metaphysics has the power to change peoples lives for the better. That is why I am determined to keep Buzick Magick going for as long as it takes to become a brick and mortar shop. While witchcraft is my personal way of tuning into the unseen forces that be, my goal is to support all faiths and curiosities in the realms beyond the physical world. In addition, I want to make magick accessible to everyone, regardless of a persons, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality and or disabilities. We all deserve to have a little magick in our lives!

I imagine it could be a very long time until I see my business name outside a shop of its own. But what’s the point in having a dream if you’re not going to chase after it? I know I’ll get there someday. I have the support of not only my friends, family, and community but also my amazing life partner, Dalton. I have faith that together we can accomplish anything, even my outlandish idea of creating the world’s most entertaining metaphysical supply shop!
