We recently had the chance to connect with Claudia Revilla and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Claudia, thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me right now is a balance between creativity, logistics, and gratitude. My mornings usually begin with planning reviewing projects, visualizing designs, and responding to clients. During the day, I’m either sourcing materials, working on site bringing a client’s vision to life, or creating content for my brand. In the evenings, I slow down and reconnect with my family, reflect on how far this journey has come, and think about what’s next. It’s busy, but deeply fulfilling, because everything I do is rooted in creativity and purpose.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Claudia Revilla, and I’m the founder of Xmas by Clau, a holiday décor brand rooted in creativity, storytelling, and meaningful experiences. What started as a love for decorating Christmas trees evolved into a full-service decorating experience focused on bringing warmth, emotion, and a sense of magic into homes and businesses during the holiday season.
As a Mexican-born entrepreneur, my journey has been shaped by resilience, creativity, and a deep desire to build something authentic and personal. Each project I take on is approached with intention and attention to detail not just designing beautiful spaces, but honoring traditions, telling stories, and creating environments that people truly feel when they walk in.
A few months ago, I relocated to Denver, and this past season I had the opportunity to decorate in both Denver and Dallas something I plan to continue doing moving forward. Working in both cities has allowed me to grow creatively, adapt to different spaces and styles, and expand my vision while staying true to the heart of my brand.
Right now, I’m focused on growing Xmas by Clau organically, refining my creative voice, and expanding how I share my work through storytelling, content creation, and new creative projects. I see my brand not simply as a seasonal business, but as a platform for connection, inspiration, and celebrating meaningful moments.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Before the world told me who I had to be, I was a deeply creative and curious child. I was always drawn to beauty, color, and creating things with my hands. I loved transforming spaces, imagining how small details could change the way a place felt, and finding joy in making ordinary moments feel special.
Growing up, I learned responsibility early, and with time, expectations and practicality began to shape my choices. But that creative part of me never disappeared — it simply waited. Years later, I realized that my purpose was not to fit into a predefined path, but to reconnect with that original version of myself and build something meaningful from it.
Today, my work is a reflection of that early instinct — creating experiences that feel warm, intentional, and emotionally connected. In many ways, I didn’t become someone new; I returned to who I was before the world asked me to be anything else.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Never stop believing in yourself or in your dreams. Never let anyone tell you that you can’t. You are unique, and you can achieve anything.
Don’t let anyone make you feel less than you are—you are worth so much
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that what really matters to me is my family, my children, and creating a life with purpose. I deeply value hard work, honesty, and loyalty, as well as the freedom to pursue my own dreams. They would also say that I care about inspiring others, leaving a positive impact, and showing that with passion and persistence, anything is possible.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I only had 10 years left, I would stop wasting time worrying about what others think and about things I can’t control. I would also stop postponing my dreams or holding myself back out of fear of failure. I would focus on living intentionally, enjoying every moment, and spending more time on what truly fulfills me and makes me happy.
