Hi Pam, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
When making my art especially when I am really excited about a project I lose track of time completely. During this time I am in deep thought and problem solving mode.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I love to explore and push the media I am using. At the moment I am making artist bears which have moving parts (legs, head and arms.) Also needlefelted paintings of different subjects.I have lived in Colorado for over 40 years and most recently I joined the Littleton Fine Arts Guild. Our gallery is located at the Depot Art Gallery.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
When i was a young child I wasn’t sure what I wanted to be. I have always been an artist but was told by many it was not a good path to make money in.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that held me back in life was that I wasn’t a good enough artist to even try and put my work out there.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
I believe that everyone deserves to be given a chance to shine and find the best version of themselves.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I wouldn’t stop anything. I have been thinking in these terms for quite some time now and I am of the mind not to waste any time and have little to no regrets.
