Samantha C. Prestidge shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Samantha, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I’m most proud of my two boys, ages 5 and 3. Even when they drive me crazy at home, it’s incredible to watch who they’re becoming in the world. I feel the proudest in the small moments no one else notices, like when they thank a Starbucks worker, help another kid down a slide, or ask to say grace before dinner. Those little glimpses remind me that the effort we pour in at home shows up in ways that matter.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Samantha C. Prestidge, founder of Auxo Business Services. I help hyper-visionary, idea-generating, “gotta stay busy” business owners untangle the chaos that comes with growth. Many of my clients are construction leaders, corporate consultants, and family-run businesses who are in that tricky in-between stage: confident and growing, but not quite big enough for full-scale HR, ops, or admin departments. My background is a mix of executive leadership support, lean project management, and simply getting sh*t done with wit and grit.
Auxo is different because we believe business can be simple and even fun… and that you can be successful without losing your humanity. Too often, owners think they need another coach, group program, or fancy AI tech stack, when the real problem is unsolved bottlenecks in execution or being stuck in the weeds. Through U.S.-based virtual assistants (real people), management coaching, and strategic ops advisory, we help leaders move from drowning in details to leading with clarity.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The relationship that has most shaped how I see myself is with my husband, Scott. He’s always been both my biggest supporter and my toughest challenger. He believes in me when I doubt myself, but he’s also the first to call me out when I’m playing small or getting in my own way. His tough love has pushed me to take bolder steps in business, to deepen my faith when things felt uncertain, and to grow into a version of myself I didn’t even know I was capable of. Having someone who both cheers me on and holds me accountable has been one of the greatest influences on how I see myself today. I now get to see myself as a woman who leads with both grit and grace — someone who can chase ambitious goals while keeping faith, family, and purpose at the center.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self, it would be: you don’t have to carry it all by yourself. For a long time, I thought strength meant doing everything on my own, holding it all together, never dropping the ball, and never showing cracks. But real strength is knowing when to ask for help, when to let others in, and when to lean on faith. I’ve learned that being supported doesn’t make you weaker. It actually makes you braver. And just because something isn’t easy for you at first doesn’t mean you’re not capable. It just means you’re learning. If I had known that sooner, I would have spent a lot less time carrying weight I didn’t need to.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
An important truth I’ve learned is that business can be both simple and human. Most people will nod their heads at that idea, but very few actually execute it well. Somewhere along the way, simplicity gets mistaken for laziness, and being a good human gets mistaken for being a pushover. The result is overcomplicated systems, endless meetings, and leaders who feel like they have to choose between results and relationships.
I believe the opposite is true. When you strip away the unnecessary noise and lead with integrity, you actually get clearer execution and stronger teams. Simplicity isn’t weakness and kindness isn’t compromise. They’re the foundation for building businesses that work and people who thrive in them.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What I understand deeply, that most people don’t, is people. I’ve always had an ability to pick up on what motivates someone, how they think through things, and what they’re not saying out loud. It’s a mix of empathy and psychology that I picked up as a kid, long before I ever used it in business.
That skill has shaped so much of how I work today. Whether it’s understanding why a team is struggling to follow through, or what an owner is really afraid of when they resist letting go of tasks, I can usually see past the surface. It’s not about reading minds. It’s about paying attention in a way most people don’t.
