Life & Work with AJ (Yungpeso) Hinton of Denver

Today we’d like to introduce you to AJ (Yungpeso) Hinton

Hi AJ, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am 27 years old. Born & Raised In Denver Colorado. Music has always been an important piece of me for anyone who really knows me. I am a lover boy. A hopeless romantic I like to consider myself which has helped enhanced the vulnerable side of me I enjoy showing in my music. I’ve been through a lot, I’ve learned a lot of life lessons and all I want to do is elevate and be better. I use to make music just for fun during my high school days and a little after. Once life started changing for me in a lot of drastic ways, I found the drive in expressing things I needed to say in the music.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not a smooth road. Ive learned because of the lack of support in the music scene in the city. It’s actually hard to get your music where you need it to be. My entire music journey I have collaborated with the best rapper in the city and he even understands how hard it is to get the love. It’s a different journey but you definitely have to keep going regardless!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Im an artist. I work with the best engineer and producer in the city (TheREALAge) @ switchboards studio. I specialize in writing my own lyrics, finding my own beats and working with my own camp in collaborations. I am most proud of my latest album (second album in 2024) “Beautiful yet, so Chaotic” because of my creativity. I feel “Beautiful yet, so Chaotic” separates me from others with showing the vulnerability with being okay that men get their hearts broke too. I know what it’s like to be in love and watch everything change from just time and not realizing when someone shows you they don’t love you then believe it. I enjoy the fact that a lot of people go through a lot of what I’ve been through and they can connect with my music on a intimate level of understanding.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5-10 years I see my individual brand expanding and creating wealthy paths for myself to be bigger then I could’ve imagined. I will be dropping music the rest of the year & years to come with singles & music videos from both albums while also working on my 3rd studio project with @TheREALAge. I will also be beginning the starting journey with gaming streaming on Xbox which I will be starting up soon. For what I believe 5-10 years will look like for the team (BME x NGMC) I see the team expanding into other avenues becoming the next best thing coming out of Denver, Colorado. For me, I don’t want to be famous, I want to create generational wealth. I want to start buying pieces of land. Music can put me in the best situation because I’m actually good at what I do. But It’s bigger then music for me, it’s about creating a lifestyle that separates you from being average!
