Today we’d like to introduce you to Alex Ricciardelli
Alex, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It all started on a cold winter day in 2006. While all the kids were out sledding, I was on my computer writing fake viruses to send to my friends through AIM. It escalated quickly, from writing code on MySpace to creating animations and then websites.
In 2009, I stepped away from my virus and design rampage on the internet – RIP! I started high school, made a lot of friends, and played football, but by the end of my time there, I became involved in some risky behavior!
After High School, I started college but realized shortly it wasn’t for me. I graduated and it took SOO LONG to get a job in my field! 6 months later, I was let go because of the pandemic. I then traveled for a couple of months off of my savings to figure out what I wanted to do.
Struggling to pay bills, I was selling laptops on the Facebook marketplace. I knew this wasn’t going to last long so I started looking for other opportunities. Interviewing to become a Wix Partner was now a goal after reaching out to 50+ companies and they were the only ones to respond.
Rcompsolutions was a computer software company, they told me it wasn’t eligible
After being denied 2 times, I sat in my garage for 35 days to create something impressive to show them. Just a couple days before the meeting, rcompmedia was born and I was offered a partnership, thus changing my life forever.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
My whole life was a struggle haha! After becoming a partner and I started working on companies Brands, Websites and Marketing them, I realized that time is very important. I started looking for Project Managers and people to help grow the business with me.
Finding people to produce the same quality as me. That is a huge one. I realized that finding people that are on the same level of design is one in a million. Also dealing with PEOPLE, this is definitely one of the biggest obstacles. I realized that it is a weakness so I spent time finding a solution to solve my “weakness”.
Having a team not only increasing my time but also helps me stay creative.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I enjoy creating. It’s my work, my hobby, and my passion.
I specialize in creating unique brand experiences through UI/UX with high-converting landing pages and marketing them to the audience that best fits the client for maximum ROI. When starting from the ground up with a company, I get the chance to dive into their inner workings and get a full understanding of what makes them who they are.
What I enjoy the most is when there’s no one around and I can just create anything I want, like a painter in the 1800s with one candlelight and not a person in sight to criticize my work.
The reason I started a clothing brand is so no one can tell me they don’t like it, it’s mine and I get to choose the design and it helps me keep my creative edge.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
The best qualities to have when being an entrepreneur are being relentless, finding new ways to be consistently inspired, and fighting to win every day. I find that owning a business is one of the most difficult challenges I feel this world has to offer and you need to be ready to lose more than you win.
