Life & Work with Brenda Ridgley of Firestone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brenda Ridgley.

Hi Brenda, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I spent more than a decade in Corporate America during and after earning an MA in Human Resources Development serving positions in HR and training. I became a retail business owner and ran two locations for another 8 years before I was inspired to write my first book, ‘Lady and the Tribe; How to Create Empowering Friendship Circles”. With the book’s inquiries and success, I became a certified life coach through Mindvalley, with which I support women through life transitions, helping them reconnect to their passions, purpose and people. My favorite coaching modality is with the Whole YOU Retreats I have created 4 to 8-day immersive personal growth experiences where like-minded women connect and rediscover themselves. Most recently I just completed my 2nd manuscript “Ignite Your Life’s Purpose; And Save the World”. I am honored to share that the forward was written by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. I am currently seeking a literary agent to begin the publishing process.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Smooth? Not at all. However, having found my true calling several years ago, I now work in flow and continue to eagerly take the next logical step that feels good each day. I don’t see the road bumps as obstacles, but decision points that help me maneuver toward the best action and outcomes. Sometimes “the master plan” needs a little course correction, and the journey builds a unique life experience.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My friends call me the Connection Connoisseur because I love bringing people together, connecting them to each other and resources. It brings me joy to see people creating deep meaningful relationships, and I am naturally called to assist through speaking, events, coaching, retreats and books. That with my degrees and certification in developing people, training them for whatever is next for them, it seems my empowerment organization the WholeYOUniverse was a natural cumulation of my knowledge, skills and abilities.

What sets the WholeYOUniverse apart from other coaching programs and retreats is our Midlife Reinvention curriculum. I truly believe that midlife is not a number, and we offer a structured path for women to transition from their roles (mother, wife, professional) back to their core values and “superpowers”.

While many retreats are led by a single personality, we feature 3 distinct thought leaders providing a mastermind level of depth and diverse expertise the sets the experience apart as a premium, high-value educational and spiritual event.

We are building a movement of feminine collaboration focusing on the “Save the World Sisterhood” in which members seek personal clarity and share collective purpose to make a difference in their community.

The WholeYOUniverse strikes a rare balance. The Alchemist (facilitating deep, magical transformation and “Whole YOU” awakening) but also the Companion (the relatable sisters who have walked the path from self-doubt to self-leadership). This “warmth with an edge” makes our high-level guidance feel accessible and sincere.

How do you think about luck?
Rather than luck, I would call the “lucky” connections in my life synchronicities. When I feel in alignment with my true calling, helping women step into their power, I believe the “lucky happenings” are showing me the path and encouraging me to keep going.
