Today we’d like to introduce you to Brieanna Spinuzzi.

Hi Brieanna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Our Story
Entrepreneurship has always been the only path for me. My parents, both strong and determined, never felt at home working for someone else — a mindset they passed along to me. They each built thriving businesses in Pueblo, Colorado, both in the food and beverage industry, setting an incredible example of dedication and independence.

My journey took a slightly different direction, inspired by my dad’s creative and artistic side. In 2007, I launched Modern Image Photography, capturing my first ever wedding — an unpaid profile-building opportunity that ignited my passion for documenting the most important day in people’s lives: their wedding day.

Over the years, Modern Image Photography has grown beyond photography to include cinematic videography and the always-popular Magic Mirror Photo Booth.

What Makes Us Different
Our years of experience and reputation for reliability speak for themselves, but what truly sets us apart is the way we connect with our clients. We don’t just take photos — we build friendships. We believe in trust, comfort, and personal connection. Our clients know they can come to us for advice, planning, support, referrals, and honest expertise. We take pride in being there long after the “I do.” Often, our clients become lifelong friends.

Our Style
At Modern Image, our style is authentic and timeless — true to the day as it unfolds. We steer clear of fleeting trends and heavily stylized editing that may not age well. Every image and video is hand-crafted, never AI-generated or batch-edited.

Always Learning
The photography and videography world is constantly evolving, and we embrace that. My business partners and I take every opportunity to learn and grow as active members of WPPI and Imaging USA, where we are proud credentialed affiliates.

As an educator in this industry, I also offer photography classes and internships for all skill levels. Whether you’re looking to explore photography for the first time or sharpen your existing skills, I’d love to share my knowledge and help you grow in this incredible art form.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Being a business owner has not been a smooth road since 2020, and many entrepreneurs felt that struggle deeply. In 2020 alone, I lost 17 weddings due to the shutdown. My business was completely halted. My passion felt crushed, and I was left feeling helpless. Being labeled non-essential was the hardest part—there was nothing I could do to keep my business alive during that time.

When the economy finally reopened, my faith was renewed. People were ready, and business came back in full swing.

Another challenge over the years has been the rapid expansion of AI and automated technology. When mirrorless cameras first came out, it felt like you no longer needed to fully understand the craft—the camera could do much of the work for you. Then came AI. In many cases, it feels like AI is taking over this industry and doing the job for us—strikingly well, I might add.

Seventeen years ago, my dad warned me not to put all my eggs in one basket because someday computers would take over my job. I never imagined how right he would be.

What AI can never offer, however, is personal connection with clients and the human artistic touch we leave on our work. That element of uniqueness cannot be replicated by a computer. While it’s intimidating to see the market become oversaturated with new and rising challenges, we are not worried. We stand firm in what we offer—something unique, meaningful, and only possible through human creativity.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Colorado based wedding photographer and videographer. What sets us apart is that we are able to offer high quality luxury wedding packages that include photography, videography and the magic mirror Photo Booth!

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Our success comes from delivering a defined, recognizable style. I’ve never followed rules, only the inspiration that presents itself in the moment.
