Today we’d like to introduce you to Bryan Bonner.

Hi Bryan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Bryan Bonner is a Colorado-based investigator, author, filmmaker, and media personality, widely recognized for his work in paranormal research and storytelling. As the founder of the Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society, established in 1999, Bonner has dedicated decades to exploring and analyzing reports of paranormal activity throughout Colorado. His investigations combine scientific rigor with historical research, utilizing tools such as EMF meters, thermal imaging cameras, and audio analysis equipment to examine claims and separate facts from fiction.

Bonner’s approach emphasizes critical thinking, data analysis, and skepticism, ensuring each case is thoroughly assessed before drawing conclusions. He frequently collaborates with experts across disciplines, including medicine, forensics, and engineering, to provide a scientifically grounded perspective on phenomena often attributed to the supernatural.

A skilled communicator and educator, Bonner engages audiences through public speaking, workshops, and presentations at schools, libraries, and conventions. He is also a co-host of the podcasts Do You Like Scary Movies and They Did It, combining his expertise in paranormal with storytelling, media hosting, and audience engagement.

As an author, Bonner has co-written the Case Files of the Rocky Mountain Paranormal Research Society series, blending historical research with investigative narrative to document haunting phenomena across the region. His work demonstrates his investigative acumen and his ability to convey complex information in an accessible, engaging format.

Beyond paranormal investigation, Bonner possesses a broad and diverse skill set, including:

• Technical & Analytical Skills: Computer technical support, data analysis, EMF and forensic equipment operation.

• Creative & Visual Arts: Photography, graphic design, cinematography, and multimedia production.

• Film & Media: Movie producing, directing, and content creation for podcasts, conventions, and media projects.

• Research & Education: Historical research, factchecking, writing, public speaking, and team leadership.

Residing in Westminster, Colorado, Bryan Bonner continues to lead RMPRS, educate the public, and produce content that bridges the gap between science, skepticism, and storytelling. His career reflects a lifelong dedication to curiosity, critical inquiry, technology, media production, and creative expression.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
This has been an interesting journey of multiple decades. Every project we work on is a new adventure. There have been times when I have asked myself why I continue doing this because it is a very challenging field. However, the payoff of learning new things, working to help people and educating those interested in our work is more than worth the effort.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
With so many different pieces to the puzzle of our work, I will say that I am most proud of it all. The various kinds of ongoing education, working with the public and helping advance the field, make it very satisfying.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
For people that want to get into paranormal research I would suggest starting with the hard sciences and seeing how you can apply them to the field. There are no experts in this field and everyone can bring in a unique perspective to help with the work.
