Lu$t is a hip-hop artist, songwriter, and music producer from Atlantic City. His intricate and metaphoric punchlines, paired with his knack for producing industry-quality beats, have made the south jersey recording artist a triple threat as a vocalist, producer, and engineer. Inspired by his past experiences and relationships, lu$t uses heartbreak as the muse for his music. With a combination of sophisticated beats and top-tier lyrics he developed while in the local rap battle scene, lu$t’s biggest influences are Jay-Z, Nipsey Hussle, Fabulous, and Big Pun. Inspired by the techniques of Lil’ Wayne, he freestyles his lyrics right after finishing the beat.

Lu$t (real name Christian Aponte) started producing music at an early age drawing influence from Swizz Beatz, Timbaland, Just Blaze, Southside, and Zaytoven. Growing up, the new jersey-born artist was heavily drawn to hip-hop, R&B, and soul music and developed that passion into his life and career. Now residing in Denver and landing placements with big industry artists such as Tory Lanez & Rich The Kid “lu$t” looks forward to contributing to the local music culture all while shining a light on Denver’s dope talent and making a name for himself worldwide.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not the smoothest road.

After a lot of ups and downs a lot of tribulations and times I wanted to give up on music and pursue my dream but something in me kept a burning passion for more. I’ve lost friends to gun violence, lost loved ones along the way, lost relationships & friends but through all the pain and hardship I prevailed, and now as Nas would say it I’m in “rare form”.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in music production as an executive industry producer who has worked with many names such as Tory Lanez & Rich The Kid I also work as an audio engineer, graphic designer, aspiring film producer, & director.

Any big plans?
I look forward to landing bigger placements, landing records on billboard’s top 10 with industry artists & local artists living my dream of becoming Grammy nominated & win the prestige award with my sound. I will be the best music producer not just in hip hop but I want to conquer all genres.

I will be one of the greatest to come out of this city. I will also make sure I help others win and succeed along with me and give back to the city as much as I can.
