Today we’re excited to be connecting with Deb Bartos again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Deb, we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
Hi I’m Deb Bartos in Colorado Springs, I’ve been creating all my life, but in the past 33 years have been fascinated by capturing the colors and nuances of nature in paint. I love painting plein air and am part of the Plein Air Artists of Colorado and Garden Artists groups that paint on location. I also do larger works in my studio and recently had a one woman show at the Hoag gallery (part of the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center) showcasing my process and creating larger work from the smaller plein air work done on location. I will have work at the Auric Galleries and Surface Galleries this December as part of their holiday show. I also have a large painting at the Lone Tree Arts Center until January 6. I’ve taught Art Appreciation and painting classes at CCU, Bemis, and now at my home studio. I love the process of mentoring students to progress to the next level of their art.
Awesome, so we reached out because we wanted to hear all about what you have been up to since we last connected.
I’m looking forward to participating in holiday shows both at the Auric Gallery, and the Surface Gallery in Colorado Springs. I have a dozen paintings for sale at the Warehouse Gallery in downtown Colorado Springs, also home to a fabulous restaurant. I also have a large painting at the Lone Tree Arts Center that was juried in to their annual show and will be there until January 6. These pieces are all for sale, and I will also have an open studio sale for the holidays at my home studio as well, with prices in all ranges and paintings in all sizes for convenient gift giving. I was recently gifted some beautiful large frames and I’m stretching canvases to the matching sizes. Looking forward to studio time this winter and more plein air painting when it is above 50 degrees! PM me on my Deb Bartos Fine Art page for more information!

Connecting to places of beauty that feed your soul. I recently had a collector mention how visiting my art was good for her soul. Another shares frequently how she loves having it surround her in her home. Nature has a calming effect (most of the time!) and my paintings transport me and others to places of beauty that connect us to peace and order in our lives. I’ve loved having the honor of being commissioned to create large pieces for places of healing, hospitals and healthcare facilities. I would love to do more.
