Today we’d like to introduce you to Latisha Hardy. 

Latisha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Latisha Hardy Dance & Co Ltd. was established in 2010. I started creating this brand after learning salsa roughly 13 years ago. Salsa helped me grow past a difficult time. Learning to partner dance was a great way for me to regain my confidence in social settings again. The goal has always been to give that back to others. The dance floor is the only place where I feel I can truly express myself. My goal today is to empower the world to empower themselves through the art of dance. 

I now own a 3,000 square foot studio where I train people in partner and solo dancing, anywhere from beginner to professional. 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not. Lol What hasn’t been a struggle. I would say at first the struggle was trusting decisions I made for exactly what they were. You choose. things happen. You adjust. Like clockwork. When I finally learned the faster, I made decisions, the faster I would understand the best next step, it got easier to “fail.” I am always really excited to try new things to see what outcomes I would get. 

Obviously, COVID was hard, but applying this same mindset really helped me pivot with confidence. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Solo Salsa dancer, director, and choreographer. I am known for taking traditional dances such as: Salsa, Mambo, Son, Pachanga, and Afro-Cuban, and modernizing it by way of dancing to Hip Hop and Popular Music.
