Today we’d like to introduce you to Lee and Jenna Heigl. They and their team shared their story with us below:
Lee and Jenna Heigl are local business owners who have been involved in the local community for many years. Jenna was raised in a hunting family with her three older brothers.
She was taught early on how to safely handle and respect firearms. However, Lee was raised in a family where firearms were not tolerated. Lee was introduced to firearms by her family and over the years, he has gained a reputation with friends, customers, and church for helping people become comfortable and responsible with firearms.
We believe as Americans we have a great privilege to own a firearm. That privilege comes with an even greater responsibility to protect ourselves, our neighbors, and our children from all the dangers associated with owning a firearm.
Our number one goal at CGS is to help people who have unexpectedly come into possession of firearms and do not know what to do with them. If you are not familiar with firearms, please don’t touch them. We will come to your house and safely unload and remove them.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the struggles we’ve had over the last few years is explaining what our mobile service provides. We’re not like other FFLs or gun stores. It is our goal to make it as easy as possible for “non-gun people” to get the guidance they need when they find themselves in a gun-related situation.
Because we come to them, they can relax knowing they don’t have to know if the firearm is loaded or worry about transporting guns to a pawn shop. It’s also been tough to hear about all the mental health challenges in our community. But it is also rewarding when we get to help a family feel safer and protect their loved ones.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Colorado Gun Services provides services such as Gun Audits (CGS can let you know what you have and what they are currently worth), Gun Disposal (the owner wants it destroyed for any reason or it was used in a crime), Purchase of unwanted firearms or collections, inheritance (we come out, make a fair offer, make a copy of your license (for our internal books only), provide you with payment and paperwork. The firearms are legally no longer in your possession. It’s that easy! We are known for removing unwanted guns. Legally. Safely.
Professionally. We are most proud of helping families in our community. We’ve had many customers call in tears, only to feel relief when they knew we could help. What sets us apart is that we are mobile and will drive to most locations across the front range in Colorado. Many customers are uneasy having to check to see if guns are unloaded, transporting them to a gun store or pawn shop, and waiting for them to sell, sometimes on consignment.
