Today we’d like to introduce you to Mahaylee.

Mahaylee, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I actually got into the industry when I was in high school and signed a year-long contract with Donna Baldwin but didn’t do much with it. I honestly didn’t have the confidence or drive/passion. So I went to UCCS (getting a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice) and was diagnosed with leukemia when I was 22 years old, which was my jr year I believe. I graduated and am now three and a half years in remission!! I decided to get back into the industry about 7 months ago to see how I liked it and I ended up loving it!! Doing photo shoots, walking fashion shows, videography, especially meeting the people that have I met along the way brings me so much joy and I’m excited to see what the future brings!!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Is there such a thing as a smooth road 😂 I’m just playing, honestly, it could have been a lot bumpier! I’ve been fortunate enough to have family and friends that support me 100% through everything I do/battle and have met people who have helped me dive even more into this industry and I appreciate every single one of them !!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am in the modeling world; taking on photo shoots, walking fashion shows, and dabble in videography. I would say I focus more on photo shoots and love creating anything that I find fun and beautiful! I am most proud of the way that I have stepped out of my comfort zone and have, so far, been consistent with the content that I put out. I can’t speak for others but my passion and love for this industry is what keeps me wanting to create and do more !!

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I don’t live in Denver but that’s where I’m going if I want to have a nice night out! The city is so alive and has several things to do that I couldn’t find in the Springs. The main reason I don’t live there though is due to how busy it can get but that just means more interesting people you can meet I suppose 😂
