Meet Melissa Windell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Melissa Windell.

Hi Melissa, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
When I was a little girl, I would wake to a room filled with spirits only to find out they were all my ancestors. Later in my early 20’s, I saw my very first Psychic. She changed the course of my entire life. She introduced me to my spirit guide, my great great grandfather, and she helped me realize I needed to make a huge life change.

After that Psychic reading, I decided to buy a truck and travel states to find my next home when I met my Great Aunt Millie along the way. She introduced spirituality to my entire mother’s side of the family which I had no idea about until meeting her.

I kept traveling and found my way back to my old roots, home, in Colorado. That first year back when I was 23 or 24, I found a church in Boulder, The Church of Inner Light, also known as Psychic Horizons. It was the first time I felt “normal” in my entire life. I never realized how out of place I had felt before until I felt truly comfortable. You just get use to being odd. I started taking every class they had, for they teach you how to develop your own intuition.

In 2013 I felt a beam of light shine down on me with the clear message that I was supposed to walk the path of a Psychic and Medium. I decided to listen, and that is when Earth Feather Healings birthed. I have been on this path ever since. I do Psychic and Medium readings, Energy Healings, Spiritual Healings, and I teach other people to tap into their Psychic Gifts thru my Psychic School Program.

Starting this June, I am opening up space for the graduate students of Psychic School to become their own Psychics thru Earth Feather Healings. So they too can start to make a living by helping people and doing something they love. For I know the gifts of being on this path and also the hardships I have crossed to get to where I am, that I want to help make it easier for the students and help them receive their own sense of richness by walking this close to spirit!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Haha!!!! I wish! Actually, I don’t wish that. I have learned so much thru my journey, and I also know that all the obstacles I needed in order to truly expand into who I am today and who I am growing into. I had a lot of tests and tribulations, but I truly think it stems from feeling an inward lack of acceptance from the World. The more I have stepped into loving and owning this part of myself, the less tested or “awkward” moments I have.

I am a little deep, intense, and passionate. So when I heard spirit tell me this was my path, I stopped my Landscaping business, I quit my part-time job and devoted my whole life to spirit. Which was amazing, and I became very financially broke very fast. I didn’t have the clientele, the know-how, the skill set, the energetic boundaries/knowledge, that I have today to truly support where I thought I should be when I quit everything. In reflection with spirit, they have always paced me… even to this day.

The other obstacles were being outcast-ed be friends, ignored by family, humiliated at side jobs, broken up with, called names for being a Psychic. I am a very sensitive, tender human, so to be called a devil worshiper and then to be shunned out of a social group was hard. Emotionally scarring (at the time). But it made my skin thicker, and it made me fall more in love with who I am and my spirit. For I know I am not evil or a bad person, and I don’t do harmful things to people or creatures of life, and that spirit just helped sort out those out of my life that were not supportive of me or my path. And for each person, I lost I gained 1 to 2 really great people. The Universe, so sweetly, works that way.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I do a lot of Spiritual Therapy. I journey with clients for a period of time, regularly. Either six months or I have some that are going on multiple years now. Together we work on healing parts of themselves that have been forgotten, ignored, buried. To help them bring more love, strength, inner connection forward. I tend to draw in people with childhood and sexual trauma, parents with challenging children, couples, and people who are desiring to start or expand their entrepreneurial lives. I have a niche with communicating with the deceased, who tend not to want to communicate! And helping people detach from spirits/beings/energies that have attached themselves to a person or home.

My current passion is teaching. I am on my 3rd year of Psychic School 101 students there is (101, 102, 103, and 104). It is truly a delight to watch people fall in love with the tools taught, and the best is when their eyes light up when they start to read people and see things! It is almost as good as children with ice cream!

I have great plans for the Psychic School and the students, for I truly want to bring a new level of love, healing, acceptance, and normalcy (ish) to the Spiritual Realm and Psychics and Mediums by creating a loving and sweetly held platform for us all to grow and nourish on.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I live in Longmont, I was born and raised here. I always loved that it was a bit country and a lot of a farm town. Over the years, it has made me sad how much that side of it is being grown out of. But in return, there is a strong art community, a family community that has been a gift for raising my daughter here, and the spiritual community is also flourishing here.

I like that it still feels humble and small even in it ever-growing existence.
