Life & Work with Puck

Today we’d like to introduce you to Puck. 

Hi Puck, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am a bit of a rare bird these days in Denver, was born here and grew up in Aurora. I have always had a wide range of interests; I grew up playing music and competitive team sports. These days I am working on projects that integrate all of my skills and interests. Currently, I am training as an aerialist and using my synesthesia to paint meaningful sounds (mostly songs) and delivering personal messages to the recipient. It’s all magic which is the most exciting part. 

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Oh, of course not. Always challenges and review of those past challenges. One thing is for certain, I am galvanized and focused in a way that has not been available to me before. 

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m training with my coach, David Gray, on the Aerial Straps and am in love with circus arts. It allows me to perform and be very physical with my body, it is a big reason why I have been able to maintain my sanity these past few years. I also paint, can work a camera, and am working on some projects to marry all my skills and interests, and broadly speaking it is going to look a lot like immersive and interactive experiences. 

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love Denver for so many reasons, the energy the city offers is really unique and the art here really flourishes. I dislike how the mayor and other elected officials started selling her off to monied, out-of-state corporate interests and hedge funds that make it so extraordinarily expensive to live here, and the absolutely inhumane way we treat our un-housed neighbors.
