Life & Work with Rebecca Rosen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rebecca Rosen.

Rebecca, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
As an internationally acclaimed best-selling author, spiritual medium, and speaker, I have made it my mission to open the line of communication between the spirit world and our day-to-day world. My spiritual journey began in 1997 as a college student struggling with depression and a debilitating sleep-eating disorder. Following months of therapy and medication, I finally, out of desperation, began to pray. On one particularly unremarkable day, while sitting in a bookstore, I felt compelled to write in my journal. That’s when my deceased Grandmother Babe answered my prayers. I was flooded with words that I involuntarily transcribed, or channeled, not even realizing what I was writing. The handwriting was mine, but the words were my grandmother’s. Because I was skeptical, I asked for proof that what was happening was real. Grandma Babe told me three specific things she wanted me to share with my father, Grandma Babe’s son. All three turned out to be true and were things only my father and Grandma Babe could possibly know. For the next 18 months, Grandma Babe was my guide, giving me life lessons and even predicting specific personal events that would later come true. At the end of this time, my grandmother told me to fulfill my life’s purpose, and ultimately, help others.

My journey as a medium started with personal readings for family and friends, which were uncannily accurate. These experiences were shared with friends, and then friends of friends. Soon strangers began asking for readings too, and I realized I had officially arrived as a professional spiritual medium. Now, over 20 years later, my passion lies in transforming people’s lives by helping them connect to their deceased loved ones, angels, and spirit guides through small group readings, larger audience events, and a variety of spiritual growth products and resources. My mission in doing this work is to show them that the connection to Spirit and something bigger is possible, and empower them to nurture and develop that connection for themselves.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When I began my spiritual journey back in 1997, mediumship was not as widely talked about, understood, or embraced as it is today. Needless to say, I experienced a considerable amount of resistance and skepticism as I began my professional practice. I got push back from several religious clergy and religious fanatics, questioning whether or not what I was doing was blasphemy. While I knew in my heart this was a gift from God, meant to be shared with others for the sake of their healing and faith journeys, I struggled with my own self-doubt at times. However, my inner knowing and Divine guidance were stronger than my doubt, and I stayed the course, trusting that if this truly was my life’s calling, it would organically unfold and flow. And that’s exactly what happened within months of starting on this spiritual path. And I’m grateful to say that over the past 24 years of doing this work, the support, positive feedback, and appreciation from my clients has been overwhelming, allowing me to not only believe but to know, that the soul never dies and Spirit is always around, communicating with us each day if we open our minds and hearts to the possibility.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My work over the last two decades has inspired and empowered clients and led me to national media appearances on The Dr. Oz Show, E! News Specials, Fox & Friends, Dr. Phil, Entertainment Tonight, Extra, Nightline, and The Rachael Ray Show, among others. I have shared my journey and offered insight into the world of mediumship and Spirit connection through my books, Spirited, Awaken the Spirit Within, and What the Dead Have Taught Me About Living Well. I was also on LMN’s (Lifetime Movie Network) show The Last Goodbye. Through the show, I connected people seeking answers with their deceased loved ones, and shed light on the truth that death is not the end and love never dies.

In addition to providing private, small group, and large audience readings, I recently started a podcast called, Small Medium at Large, which explores many facets of our connection with our “team spirit” on the other side. In these episodes, I interview fascinating guests, share messages from Spirit, and offer some of my own tools and resources to strengthen our intuition.

I currently reside in Denver with my husband and children, sharing my gift through virtual and in-person platforms and teaching others how to receive wisdom and insight that can profoundly and positively impact their lives.

What’s next?
One of my favorite quotes is “Man plans, and God laughs”. So, whatever plans I may have for the future, I’m always open and surrendered to the fact that it may not play out the way I intended it to. For now, I plan to continue reaching people through my books (currently working on writing my fourth book!), creating season two of my podcast, Small Medium at Large, and continuing to offer readings, mainly in virtual small and large group formats. When the pandemic hit and I was unable to travel for work, it forced me to reinvent how I reached my audience. I experimented with virtual group readings, and to my surprise, it worked equally as well as in-person readings. We continue to receive feedback that virtual is preferred over in-person, as it makes for a more intimate and convenient experience for all. This has been one of the many silver linings that came from the changing times as it allows me to continue to reach more people in need, while making the most of my time and energy.
