Hi Sarah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I have always had a love of baking, for as long as I can remember. I would bake for family get-togethers, holidays, or friends’ parties, and the feedback I would get was so positive and complimentary. I have been told for years, that I should open up my own bakery. And when Covid hit, I began doing my research on other home bakers on Instagram and Facebook. I started Thanksgiving 2020 and through word of mouth and repeat customers, my business quickly grew! Through the holiday season, I had numerous companies order gift boxes of cookies and breads to give to their customers! It was so exciting for me to think that people would pay for my treats that I loved to bake!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Overall, it has been smooth, but a few of the struggles I encountered, were mostly due to shipping. I have mailed my treats from California to New York, and Dealing with the inconsistency of not knowing how long it would take to get to my customers.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Years ago, my nephew, who in trying to say Aunt Sarah, would say “Cha Cha.” Which then became my nickname! This is how Cha Cha’s Sweet Treats got its name.
What I’m most known for is my delicious Banana Bread, which is my most requested treat to bake. In addition to that, I make an assortment of cookies, Bundt Cakes, and pumpkin bread. Both the Banana Bread and Pumpkin Bread are available in Gluten-Free as well.
I take a lot of pride in how I package and wrap my treats, and I love the joy it brings people when they see the packaging. Plus, the feedback I get when they taste them. It’s been such a tough year and a half with Covid, that it’s fun to have a business that makes people feel good and light up!
Because I don’t have a storefront, I will deliver or meet my customers at a convenient location and I will ship my treats anywhere. Every order is baked within 24 hours of delivery or shipment, to guarantee its freshness.

I don’t Look at it as luck, but baking for others has been so therapeutic and a stress reliever for me. It is truly a passion and a labor of love.
