Today we’d like to introduce you to Tree Squid

Hi Tree Squid, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
We all met from working at the Fillmore Auditorium in 2015. We became quick friends through similar music tastes and talked about starting a band together. We had our first jam session in 2019 and our first show was in January of 2024. We frequent playing in the mountains as well as Denver. We are looking forward to recording our first album in 2025.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We got started a year before Covid hit, so there was a lull of playing live shows. During this time we were able to focus on what our sound was and to get a feel for each other. Without the ability to gig out, this allowed us to add more original songs to our setlist and polish them in the process. We were able to go at our own pace. A fairly smooth road considering having to balance work, personal life, and music.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
We are a 3 piece progressive hard rock band based out of Denver that writes our own material. We have a big and full sound for only 3 members, which can be hard to achieve. We have two vocalists which enables us to add harmonies and more layers to our songs. I think what we are most proud of is being able to create original music that we truly enjoy playing.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
Wide variety of genres in the music scene

Least favorite: Traffic. Unoriginal answer I’m sure, but it can take a minute to get to our rehearsal space.
