Today we’d like to introduce you to Triniti Rivera.

Hi Triniti, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
In 2023 I was working a 9–5 and felt stagnant, I knew something more was calling me, but I just couldn’t name it yet. After reading “The Untethered Soul”, I felt a lot of momentum to find what that calling was. I went to work one morning like usual and had a realization that I had to leave the stability of my current life to pursue solo-travel—it was seriously that direct.

I researched cost-effective means to travel and found work exchanges that would facilitate that. After getting approved for a few, I quit my job, sold most of my things, moved, and began solo-traveling. I spent three months visiting Italy, The Netherlands, England, and Scotland. During that period, my plans changed multiple times, I faced unexpected challenges, and yet, I still knew that I was right where I was supposed to be.

Traveling helped me realize that what I’m truly passionate about is connecting with people, learning about different cultures, and sharing my journey to inspire others to take risks and work towards their passions—because they mean something.

Since returning to the U.S., I’ve continued exploring, created a travel blog and travel social media accounts, connected with fellow adventurers, and shared my experiences about the grandeur of exploring the world!

Traveling to me, signifies growth, connection, and embracing the unknown—and the journey’s just started!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been smooth. I’m a first generation solo-traveler, so I’ve had to pave my own path which has been the biggest challenge. Initially, I struggled figuring out the financial components of traveling. I also held a lot of fear around the unknown and in trusting myself to navigate international exploration on my own.

It’s important to surround yourself with people who believe in you. I’m incredibly thankful that I’ve had people who supported and believed in me, even when I wasn’t able to do that myself.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My travel content is centered around cost-efficiency, practical tips/insight, the beautiful places I’ve visited, navigating a dietary restriction, and making new connections!

What sets me apart is my transparency, authenticity, and genuine passion to connect with and educate others on travel.

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
My determination and creativity have been the driving forces behind my ability to travel! The perseverance and self-trust I’ve gained through my explorations have continued to fuel me in spite of receiving a lot of skepticism for pursuing
solo-travel.

Being willing to think outside the box, take risks, and put myself out there in new ways, has helped me maintain my momentum and stay aligned with my passion! Whether it be solo-exploration or just pursuing something unfamiliar to you, the best trait you can equip yourself with is self-trust and confidence. Taking risks, embracing discomfort, and pushing your boundaries will always teach you more about life and yourself, but it might also lead you to everything you were hoping to find!
