Life & Work with Unique Wynne of Aurora, CO

Today we’d like to introduce you to Unique Wynne.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
It has been a journey of pure persistence! I was raised in Colorado Springs from the age of four, so my roots here run deep, and I think that mountain resilience is part of my DNA.

I started Maestosa Bellezza back in 2020. I’ve been building it brick by brick ever since, launching my websites, opening my Etsy shop, and expanding onto the Walmart Marketplace in 2022. I never stopped creating, even when things got quiet.

The reality of small business is that it doesn’t always take off overnight. There were seasons where business just didn’t pick up the way I hoped, so I had to pivot and handle other life responsibilities in between. But I never let the dream go. I used those quieter moments to sharpen my skills in other areas. Diving into technology, learning Python, and understanding how to build things from the ground up.

I got to where I am today simply by refusing to quit. I’m still here, still designing, and still pushing forward. My story is really about the hustle that happens behind the scenes. Juggling family, life, and a business that I believe in, no matter what.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Oh, definitely not smooth! I don’t think any small business owner would honestly say yes to that.

The biggest struggle has honestly been the ‘noise.’ When I started in 2020, the online space became incredibly crowded. The hardest part wasn’t the creating, I can design and make products all day, it was the visibility. You can have your items listed on major platforms like Walmart and Etsy, but getting eyes on them in a sea of algorithms is a massive challenge.

There were plenty of months where the sales just didn’t match the effort I was putting in. I had to make the hard choice to pivot and take on other work to keep things afloat and support my family. It’s a juggling act that isn’t talked about enough…trying to keep a dream alive while still handling the practical realities of bills and life. But those quiet seasons taught me grit. They forced me to stop just being an ‘artist’ and start thinking like a business strategist.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Maestosa Bellezza stands for ‘Majestic Beauty,’ and that name really defines the standard I hold for my work. I specialize in handcrafted artisan accessories, pieces that are designed to make a statement.

What I am most known for, and honestly what I am most proud of, is the authenticity of my process. We live in an era of ‘fast fashion’ and dropshipping, where everything is mass produced and looks the same. That is not me. When someone buys from Maestosa Bellezza, whether it’s on my website, Etsy, or Walmart, they are getting something that I physically created. I am the designer, the manufacturer, and the quality control.

What sets me apart from others is that I don’t just assemble things, I engineer them. My background is unique. I have this creative artistic side, but I also have a very technical mind (I’m currently in school for cyber security and have a technical background in Python and AI engineering). I think that duality shows up in my work. I pay attention to the details, the structure, and the durability of every piece. I create for the person who wants to wear something that feels personal, intentional, and built to last.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
I think what drives my creativity the most is simply the need to bring something ‘real’ into an increasingly digital world. We spend so much time on screens, so I love that my business is about creating tangible, textured items that people can actually hold and wear.

That grounding comes from a deep place. I am a spiritual person, but not in a ‘one path fits all’ kind of way, In a way that honors a connection to something bigger. Growing up in Colorado, these mountains will forever have a mark on me. Lately, I’ve been exploring that connection through sound, learning to play native flutes and exploring ancient instruments. There is something about those raw, acoustic frequencies that helps me ground myself and balances out the technical side of my brain.

Sooooo with that being said, if you see me, I might be coding, designing a unique art piece, or sitting in a park mastering an ancient instrument. It is all fueled by the same desire, and that is to stay connected to the flow of life and build a legacy of resilience for my children. I want my story to remind other creative entrepreneurs that you don’t have to fit into one box or have a perfect path, you just have to keep moving forward.
