Today we’d like to introduce you to Zenobia Rivera.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I like to say eyebrows chose me. I quickly became recognized for my brow services, so much so that clients would shout “eyebrow lady!” when seeing me out in the world. I opened The Eyebrow Lady in 2011 in an effort to provide the highest quality eyebrow services and facials.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
As a business owner there are plenty of ups and downs, economic changes, trends come and go, as do business partners and employees. I wouldn’t change opening The Eyebrow Lady for the world, I love my art, love sharing it with clients and love training other estheticians to perfect their brow skills as well! 2025 The Eyebrow Lady will be expanding our services, in addition to growing the number of brow artists at The Eyebrow Lady. I’m very excited to be able to offer a wider price range, so clients of every budget can receive our services and love their brows (some people for the very first time!).

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’ve specialized in eyebrow services such as shaping, threading, tinting my whole career. Going into business I needed a name that would tell people exactly what we do. Before working for myself I became knowns as, “eyebrow lady” so I thought why not go with the obvious and just name it “The Eyebrow Lady”. I never thought having an obscure name like Zenobia would lead to clients actually calling me by my specialty!

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
You get pretty comfortable with “taking risks” as a business owner. Fear. Who is she?! While I’m not cliff diving (anymore) I don’t see new challenges as risk but rather exciting and new developments to my business. Will it flop? Maybe (has before). Will some clients love it? Absolutely. And really, what’s to gain in playing it safe.
