Life & Work with Zo 303 of Denver Colorado

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zo 303

Hi Zo, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was into American Football and Basketball at first growing up as a kid, but I always loved music as well. So when sports wasn’t going so good in high school. The only other thing that had my attention was music. That’s when I told myself, “just try it and see what happens.” So I found this app called BandLab and you can record music on your phone, and I made my first song called “Izak Freestyle.” I was nervous what people would think but I put it on SoundCloud and YouTube and posted it on Socials tagging people, and people actually really liked it. They showed me hella love for it to be my first song, and from that moment that’s when I realized “maybe I can really do the music thing.” And from there I made more music on BandLab, then ended up downtown at a studio in a library with two other artists GUDDA1K and Pmane Gelato. Started getting into some shows with a tour showcase called “MossFest’,”going to a professional studio called “Side 3 Studios,” got to perform in Atlanta twice with MossFest, I have 3 music videos out at the moment, One of them with artists “1kcxxpe” and another with “D.H.M25,” and now I have my own studio in my room still chasing the dream.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I wish I could say everything has been smooth but if you know how life works, then you know there’s always ups and downs. When I started off, everything did feel smooth, easy, and fun. But the farther I got into my career I started running into a couple bumps in the road. Like one of my Atlanta shows didn’t go well cause things changed last minute and I heard information wrong, and I ended up performing basically last when everyone left already. Making time and planning to get songs done with other artists was a struggle at times, my music videos had its ups and downs too with things changing last minute and stuff like that. But my biggest challenge in my career right now is being consistent and more disciplined. So that’s what I’ve been working on a lot this year.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a upcoming music artists that started making music in 2018. Obviously everyone has their own opinions on things, but in my opinion and what I like to do with my music is be real and true to myself. I like to be honest about everything I say in a song and talk about things that has actually happened in my life or things that I’ve actually experienced. I don’t really like to say just anything on a song to make it sound cool. That’s just not me. I also like to be versatile with my music and make different vibes for any emotions you might be feeling. I got that from my favorite artists Trippie Redd so shout out to him. I’m just proud of everything I’ve accomplished so far on my journey. I’ve done things that I didn’t think I was gonna do so early in my career, but I’m thankful for those opportunities and I just want to keep going until it pays off.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I got to start it off with my parents. I wouldn’t be able to start off my career without them giving me what I needed to start recording. All of my inner circle family, brothers, sisters, etc, that has been here since day one supporting and helping me make it this far. Any artists, producers, engineers, and videographers that I’ve worked with so far on my journey. And of course anyone out there that loves what I create and supports/ shows love. Y’all support means a lot to me.
