We recently had the chance to connect with Luna Cash and have shared our conversation below.
Luna, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
Many struggle with the pronunciation—DejaView is a play on words, blending “DejaVu” with a fresh perspective or “View” on classic tales, pronounced “deh-ZHah Vyoo.” Beyond a variety show, we are a theatrical journey—storytelling through movement, narration, circus, dance, acrobatics, and live music. An immersive sensory experience that redefines art.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am Luna Cash, Founder and Creative Director of DejaView Productions. We reimagine old ideas through dance, circus, theatre, storytelling, and live music—taking audiences on a sensory voyage. Our latest show, Return to Atlantis, Seaside Cabaret, premieres August 17th at Cervantes Masterpiece. A dark, modern retelling of The Little Mermaid, it invites you into an ocean of desire and mystery—sultry music, mesmerizing dance, daring burlesque, and breathtaking circus acts. Dive into a world where allure meets storytelling, where passion runs deep and the night is endless.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
As a child, I performed in my living room for anyone willing to watch—dragging my sister Vanessa and neighborhood kids into choreographed music video reenactments. Over time, that vibrant girl faded, replaced by voices telling me to get a “real” job, that I lacked the body for dance, that I wasn’t enough. I followed the prescribed path—college, relationships, a 9-to-5—miserable and convinced that was all life offered. Then the pandemic paused the world, giving me space to reflect. From that silence, DejaView was born.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear of truly being seen—flawed, authentic, raw. Perfectionism stifles art. I once believed I needed to have my life in order—more experience, funding, originality—to create. But once I let go of that need and allowed myself to be witnessed, everything began to fall into place.

DejaView Productions. I am dedicated to building a platform for art and connection—a diverse community of performers, teachers, and artists. Over three years, we’ve grown steadily, producing high-quality shows with meaningful messages and fostering inclusivity. I’m proud of our journey and excited for what’s ahead.
