Meet Aaron Chavez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Chavez.

Hi Aaron, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I’ve always loved the idea of recording videos. Growing up, I use to always watch Mad TV and would think, how cool would it be to write sketch comedy? That’s when I bought my first camera in early 2018, with the idea in mind to create videos for YouTube.

Early 2019, a buddy of mine came up to me asking for pictures for his bday. I wasn’t into photography yet and thought this dude is crazy, I don’t know what I’m doing. We went downtown and spent the whole day taking pics with different outfit changes and it was so much fun. I immediately was hooked! Since then, I’ve set out to find my niche trying different types of styles, and concepts. My favorite styles are street, fashion, lifestyle, and boudoir.

It’s crazy, photography kind of happened totally by accident and now I love it. Though I am trying to get back into video.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There’s definitely been a few obstacles along the way. When I first got into photography, I had this whole idea of meeting new people all the time shooting nonstop to get to where I wanted to be. It was great, the more I grew, the more people wanted to shoot with me and I loved it! The problem was, I got burnt out pretty fast. I don’t shoot as much as I use to avoid burnout and it helps a lot.

The other struggle I had was at one point I wanted to turn this into a business but wasn’t sure where I was gonna focus my energy so I took on every gig I could. Didn’t realize by doing that, my passion for photography slowed down as it started to feel more like a job and less fun. Now I’m more narrowed in on what gigs I pick up.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Lately, I’ve been trying to find my niche. It’s been tough since I love everything but I’ve finally realized that my specialty is lifestyle, fitness, and boudoir.

I’m known for being dorky during the shoot usually with a can of red bull or monster. I’m also known for my fast turnaround times with edited photos. Usually within a week of the shoot. I have my process down pretty good now so my edit speed is pretty good.

It’s hard to tell what sets me apart from the rest honestly. I think I’m a pretty average dude who’s super chill but I’ve had people tell me my pictures are dreamy and tell a story they never knew was there. Come to think of it, that’s what I’m proud of the most, is being able to work with other creative people who push me outside my comfort zone every time we shoot to create the best photo possible. A photo that tells a story, and that stands out.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
I always tell people to message me on insta. That’s usually where I’m at the most. Don’t be shy, message me, and let’s create! Even if you’re new to modeling or artistic stuff, you never know what I’m gonna say unless you ask.
