Today we’d like to introduce you to Addy Berg

Hi Addy, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My career journey began at the University of South Carolina where I studied advertising with a focus on social media. I always knew that I wanted a career where I was able to work for myself, I just wasn’t sure what it would be or how I would get there. During college I began working with many different brands as a freelance content creator and social media manager – this is when I realized I knew exactly what I wanted to do. Throughout college I worked on building my freelance clientele while also interning with different companies. I ended up accepting an offer for a corporate marketing role to further my experience after college, but quickly realized that was not the right path for me. I decided to focus more on my freelance clients and work on turning it into an actual business. I also decided to bring in an extremely talented business partner to help build and grow the business which was the best decision I’ve ever made.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have definitely had our fair share of challenges but one thing that we pride ourselves in is hard work and perseverance. We’ve never come across an obstacle too large to face and we love all of the experience and learning lessons we’ve gathered along the way.

We’ve been impressed with AM Creative, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
AM Creative was founded as a creative outlet, something my business partner, Megan O’Rourke, and I struggled to find in our traditional 9-5s. As creatives who simply cannot shut our brains off, we were constantly looking at brands and analyzing the potential they had. We noticed missed opportunity after missed opportunity and ultimately decided that it was time to start working with these brands….so here we are. We have been a duo for 6+ years. Our combined skill sets come from a culmination of our time as content creators, professional marketers, and social media-obsessed Gen-Zers – making us unstoppable force together. We marry our traditional marketing expertise with our experience as actual consumers that grew up in a digital world. Great content engages and resonates with your audience, while a well-defined strategy ensures that your efforts align with your overarching goals. Striking the right equilibrium between great content and well defined strategy ensures that your social media presence not only captivates your followers but also drives meaningful results and growth for your brand.

We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I started my first business when I was 12 years old! I handmade custom jewelry and sold it on Etsy. This was the beginning of my long entrepreneur journey. My father was also an entrepreneur so that is where my love of entrepreneurship came from. My entire life I had the privilege of watching him build and run multiple businesses and it was the greatest inspiration. I got to see first hand what hard work and dedication can get you.
