Meet Adriana Baray of KYA IV Hydration & Beauty

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adriana Baray

Hi Adriana , we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My name is Adriana, and I’ve been a nurse for five years, working in a variety of specialties, including trauma and surgical ICU, the ER, and medical/surgical units. I am also a mother of three. I began my journey in healthcare at 18, starting as a CNA and working my way through nursing school, earning my Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Throughout my career, I’ve always had a deep passion for patient care, especially in high-pressure situations where critical thinking and compassion make all the difference. These experiences shaped my desire to create a space where I could provide a more personalized approach to health and wellness.

That’s how KYA IV Hydration & Beauty was born. I wanted to create a business that focuses on helping people feel good from the inside out. After seeing firsthand the benefits of IV hydration and vitamin therapy, I knew I could help people achieve their health goals beyond the traditional hospital setting. At KYA, I offer a variety of services, including IV hydration therapy, vitamin injections, weight loss services, skin care treatments, and more. My goal is to help clients not only look their best but also feel their best, blending my medical expertise with a passion for total wellness. Every treatment is tailored to fit individual needs, ensuring the highest level of care for each person who walks through our doors.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting KYA IV Hydration & Beauty came with its fair share of challenges, especially since I transitioned from working in the hospital to becoming a business owner. One of the biggest struggles was learning how to run a business while still focusing on providing the best care to my clients. When you’re a nurse, your main focus is patient care, but as a business owner, there’s so much more to juggle—marketing, operations, managing finances, and handling everything that comes with being a one-person team.

Another challenge I faced was proving myself as a minority, Hispanic woman in the medical and business field. Throughout my career, I’ve felt like I’ve had to work ten times harder to be acknowledged, which is a common struggle for many women of color in healthcare. But this has only fueled my passion to show people what I’m capable of, and to inspire other Latina women to pursue their dreams, whether that’s in nursing or entrepreneurship. Every obstacle has been a learning experience, and although it hasn’t been easy, it’s been worth it to see KYA grow and help so many people.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
KYA IV Hydration & Beauty is all about helping people feel good from the inside out. We specialize in IV hydration therapy, vitamin injections, weight loss services, and aesthetic treatments like Botox, lip fillers, microneedling, and skincare. Each service is personalized to fit the unique needs of our clients, whether they’re looking to boost their immunity, enhance their energy levels, improve their skin, or work on weight management. We’re known for providing high-quality, medically backed treatments in a welcoming and professional environment.

What sets us apart is the combination of medical expertise and genuine care that we offer. As a nurse with years of experience in critical care settings, I understand the importance of health and safety. At KYA, I take that same level of care and attention to every client’s wellness journey. I’m also proud to offer bilingual services, making it easier for my Spanish-speaking clients to feel comfortable and informed. It’s important to me that KYA feels like a place where people can come to feel better, both physically and mentally.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of how we’re able to blend health and beauty in a way that truly makes a difference in people’s lives. Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Yes, definitely! One of the biggest resources that has helped me in my professional journey is following well-respected aesthetic practitioners on Patreon. These practitioners provide valuable insights and ongoing education that helps me stay up-to-date on the latest trends, techniques, and best practices in the aesthetics field. I’m always looking for ways to refine my skills and provide the best possible care to my clients, and learning from these experts gives me the opportunity to continually grow. Their content covers everything from advanced techniques to patient care and business management, which helps me improve not only my hands-on work but also the way I run KYA IV Hydration & Beauty.

It’s so important to stay educated in this industry, and having access to the knowledge and experience of top practitioners has made a big impact on the way I approach my work.
