Meet Beth Knox

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Knox.

Hi Beth, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been a bodyworker for 25 years and a yoga teacher for about 15. I do grant work with uchealth and their breast cancer patients. I was sending these clients home after a bodywork or yoga session with cbd and essential oil bath bombs or soaking salts. My goal was to prolong the therapeutic experience for them. The more I learned about essential oils, cbd and botanicals and their numerous benefits, the more I wanted to create! That has been the launch pad for sun mountain bath co!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been relatively smooth! It’s been so fun exploring all the bath, body, and skincare products I can make. There have certainly been some trial and error with products – working with raw ingredients. Not all of my ideas have been amazing or worked the way I had hoped! But I suppose that is the place you learn and grow from! Another challenge for me has been getting my products out there. I’ve been participating in numerous farmer’s markets, arts and crafts fests, and makers markets over the last couple of years with the goal of bringing back sales, both online and in person. It’s been working! So hopefully, all the hustle is going to pay off!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I handcraft organic bath, body, and skincare. I utilize high-quality organic oils and butters, essential oils, botanicals and herbs, claus, and locally grown cbd oils. My goal is to bring a luxe and indulgent feel to everyday self-care, and to make your skin look and feel its best! In addition to being beautiful, my products provide amazing moisture and nourishment to our skin, which is our largest organ. I love the way the products make my skin feel and glow! Nourished, hydrated, and healthy.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I have been so incredibly fortunate to find some amazing women and business owners to help guide me! I would encourage any small business owner to ask questions – and look for guidance among their peers! Most business owners are more than happy to talk about their process and offer tips and tricks! I think it is essential to success to ask questions and seek out the knowledge of the experts in the fields that you are not. Collaborating, networking, supporting, and brainstorming with other small business owners can be incredibly insightful as well! Opportunities, shortcuts, advice, tips and tricks, referrals, all things to help grow and keep your business running smoothly!
