Meet Brogan Resch of Brogan Resch Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brogan Resch.

Hi Brogan, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I bought my first camera when I was 20, originally just to capture the stunning beauty of the Colorado mountains. It didn’t take long for me to realize that what truly inspired me were people—their emotions, their connections, and the love stories unfolding right in front of me. I became completely hooked on documenting real moments and meaningful bonds, which naturally led me to weddings. I photographed my first wedding in 2019 and instantly knew this was what I was meant to do. Since then, I’ve photographed over 250 weddings around the world, learned alongside some incredibly talented photographers, and continue to grow with every couple and every celebration. I’m endlessly inspired by love, storytelling, and creating images that feel joyful, authentic, and timeless.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road—but every challenge has played an important role in shaping where I am today. Each struggle came with a valuable lesson that helped refine my craft, strengthen my business, and clarify how I show up for my clients. As technology continues to advance, the photography industry evolves just as quickly, bringing new tools, trends, and higher expectations. I’ve learned that staying curious, adaptable, and committed to growth is essential—there’s always something new to learn, and that mindset has been a huge asset.

COVID, in particular, was a uniquely challenging and defining time in the wedding industry. It required constant adapting and a deep level of care for my couples. I spent countless hours in virtual meetings helping couples reimagine their plans—finding new venues, transitioning to elopements, navigating health concerns, postponements, and cancellations. While it was challenging, it reinforced my greatest strengths: adaptability and empathy. Supporting couples through such an emotional season created incredibly meaningful relationships, and today, some of those couples are not just past clients, but close friends. Those experiences continue to guide how I approach my work—with flexibility, compassion, and a solutions-first mindset.

We’ve been impressed with Brogan Resch Photography , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Brogan Resch Photography was founded in 2018 and is a wedding and portrait photography brand rooted in storytelling, connection, and experiences. While I love photographing all types of portraits—families, engagements, seniors, and lifestyle—weddings are truly where my heart and expertise lie.

I specialize in capturing weddings in a journalistic, heartfelt way—from the quiet, emotional moments and genuine belly laughs to timeless, elegant portraits that couples will cherish for years to come. My style is colorful, bright, and intentional, blending classic imagery with candid moments that reflect the true energy of the day. I am a natural-light photographer at heart, while also being passionate about flash photography. Recent couples often share that I provide a supportive, fun, and comforting experience from start to finish, which allows them to fully relax and be present on one of the most meaningful days of their lives.

What truly sets my brand apart is the experience I offer. I work closely with my couples well before the wedding day to understand their vision, personalities, and priorities so we can intentionally craft an experience that feels effortless and completely tailored to them. My goal is not only to deliver beautiful images, but to help create a wedding day that feels joyful, stress-free, and unforgettable. I bring a calm, upbeat presence and guide my couples throughout the day so they feel confident, cared for, and truly seen.

Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the relationships I’ve built through my work. I’ve been fortunate to photograph incredible clients around the world and have had my work published, but the most rewarding part of my career is hearing from couples who felt supported, understood, and absolutely loved their photos. Many of my past clients have become close friends, which speaks to the trust and connection at the heart of my brand.

I want readers to know that when they work with Brogan Resch Photography, they’re getting more than a photographer—they’re getting a personalized, intentional experience and imagery that tells their love story in a joyful, authentic, and timeless way.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I highly recommend getting involved in wedding-focused groups on social media. Colorado has an incredible network of wedding communities that regularly host events, meet-and-greets, and networking opportunities, which are fantastic for building genuine relationships with other industry professionals. I also encourage attending local bridal shows—they’re a great way to connect with vendors, stay current with industry trends, and establish a strong presence within the wedding community.
