Meet Cat Gelinas

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Cat Gelinas.

Cat Gelinas

Hi Cat, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’m a trainer and practitioner at Mindlight (themindlight.com) an Emotional Training company. I started when I was 17 years old and was struggling emotionally and socially through high school took my first personal growth course, “Insight for Teens”.

It was the first course that ever focused on emotions and the human experience. It was just a taste, but then at 24 years old after almost failing out of college and feeling lost about a career or purpose, I took the Landmark Forum.

I know now that I had what many others had, childhood trauma from normalized physical and emotional punishment that dysregulated my nervous system to the point where I had been diagnosed with anxiety and ADHD. But that was in truth, chronic survival responses running. I discovered after decades of healing work that it’s not normal. That joy, self-love, and peace are our birthright… and that we can all emotionally heal and thrive.

And in 2019, I found Midnight. I was already greatly healed at that point from where I started, but this is where I learned how to reach the survival energies deeper in the unconscious and regulate to newer expansive states. I’ve also experienced Dr. Dispenza and Dr. Epstein’s work. Plant medicine journeys, Network Spinal Analysis, Vipassana Meditation, and more. I’ve tried it all seeking to experience healing in many forms. Now, I can heal and shift any dysregulation in my system in a matter of minutes to hours on my own.

I’ve also experienced incredible physical healings and what would be called “mystical” only to discover that it’s quite normal and many, many others have as well. That it’s also actually part of the human experience. Midnight is a company that trains people to expand into the human potential and gain competency and mastery if dedicated to emotional healing and creation. I’m committed to having this embodied knowledge and experience available readily to all who are willing.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
In the beginning years, it was very hard. Emotional trauma takes up much of our energy and bandwidth to function and thrive in life. In 2002, when I started my healing journey in earnest I didn’t know what trauma was, only that I felt emotional pain daily with few moments of peace.

As I was trying to make positive shifts in my life, my family and friends also had their share of trauma and couldn’t understand why I was changing and hanging out less. They didn’t like the differences and would criticize my path often. After about 5 years of it, they started to complain less about how much I was in training since it wasn’t helping and I started to make many new friends who were just as committed to a healthier, heart-centered, and expansive life.

But inevitably, in close relationships, we activate unhealed wounds. So I learned through much trial and error in relationship conflict and pain, what needed healing inside me, so it was a painful challenge that didn’t get better until I learned how to heal and integrate my own emotions more quickly.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I have a private practice in healing emotional trauma, the subconscious, and energy states ~ SubconsciousAlchemist.com. And I work as a trainer and practitioner at themindlight.com an emotional training company.

What sets me apart is that I’ve trained in multiple trauma resolution and energetic modalities and synthesized all the techniques together to create quote an effective technique for healing and raising one’s energy state. It gets to the root of issues, not just temporary relief. But permanent shift once we get all of the root.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I imagine healing work will become more and more mainstream and our society evolves and recognizes the massive importance of emotional mastery and how it affects every area of our lives… and how detrimental ignorance of it is.
