Meet Catherine Deschamps-Potter of CDP Real Estate

Today we’d like to introduce you to Catherine Deschamps-Potter.

Hi Catherine, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Originally from France, I moved to WI in 1988. I relocated to CO for the outdoors. I love to serve and help people. I particularly enjoy helping first-time homebuyers, families, and seniors as well as investors on the West side of Denver.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been somewhat bumpy and very fun at the same time. It is never easy to start a new business. Finding properties for buyers is challenging and it is my responsibility and pleasure to make sure they are happy with the process and solution I bring to them. Helping Sellers get the best experience is what I thrive for.

As you know, we’re big fans of cdp real estate. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a Realtor with Exit Realty DTC. As a French native, I am quite involved in the French Community. I am a board member of the Rocky Mountain French American Chamber of Commerce as well as the Alliance Française de Denver. So naturally, my clients are often from outside the USA since we have similar personal paths. Like them, I was once a “stranger in a strange land” (reference to the book by Robert Heinlein). I love Exit Realty DTC and the support they provide me with.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Talk with your managing broker about mentorship programs. No one should go without them! The learning curve will end up being night and day!
