Hi Chasmyn, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’ve had a passion for capturing stunning landscapes and people through photography for as far back as I can remember. Amidst the pandemic, while maintaining my fully remote corporate position at United Airlines in Chicago, I made the bold decision to relocate to Denver—and I’ve never looked back. In May 2023, I finally launched my own photography business, and it’s been an exhilarating journey ever since!

My journey began by building my portfolio, starting with capturing moments for engaged friends and couples’ sessions. Now, in 2024, my calendar is already brimming with bookings for couples’ shoots, engagements, elopements, and intimate weddings! It’s incredibly fulfilling to see my business thriving and to push my creative boundaries each day.

I take immense pride in cultivating a business that reflects my passion and values, all while balancing my role at United Airlines. Looking ahead, I can’t wait to further expand my photography ventures in 2025, with plans to explore new destinations worldwide. The future is bright, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I constantly struggle with always wanting to be the best in photography. While I acknowledge that I’m still in the early stages of my journey, I’m driven to reach the level of skill exhibited by the photographers I admire on social media. It’s challenging to resist the urge to measure my work against theirs and to carve out my own unique style.

I specialize in capturing couples, elopements, and micro-weddings, and while my business is nearly a year old, I’ve already made a mark with my couples’ shoots. This year, I’m thrilled to have bookings for elopements and micro-weddings. I take pride in the diverse portfolio I’ve curated and the privilege of preserving the most cherished moments in my clients’ lives.

There’s immense satisfaction in immortalizing love, providing my clients with timeless memories to treasure forever. My distinctive approach lies in my personalized client interactions and evolving photography style. Initially drawn to a candid aesthetic, I now gravitate towards documentary-style photography, as it allows for richer storytelling within each frame. I want my clients to feel free, happy, and comfortable during our shoots. I do my best to ensure the most relaxing and fun session.
