Meet Christian Cappuccino of Westminster

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Cappuccino

Hi Christian, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started painting at 18 as a summer job in Massachusetts, right after graduating high school. From there, I went to college for a year, realized it wasn’t for me and left to join the workforce as a painter. I painted pretty consistently until I was 24 and moved out here to be the typical ski bum transplant we all know so well here in the Denver Metro Area. In 2022, I started doing very small jobs for friends under the guise of Cappuccino Painting Company, then in 2024 I decided to go all in with the business and get back into painting full time. A year in and I have some great projects done with more to come very soon!

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The post-covid market has been pretty tumultuous, but I’m glad I started my business during that time so I could work out the initial kinks while things were tough all around. I’m excited for the future, knowing that I’m starting to become very comfortable running my business and that the market will be getting a lot better soon enough. To answer the question – the road has been pretty bumpy getting started as any business owner would know, but I’m ready to cruise fast in the left lane as the road inevitably keeps smoothening out.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My business focuses on residential painting, interior and exterior. I specialize in being able to transform your home to the beautiful vision you had in mind. Whether it’s taking an old home with outdated colors and features and putting it ahead of the popular trends or a simple refresh of a rental property, I’m the man to call for the job. All of my clients will tell you I’m very easy to communicate with, I can work with any budget, I partner with friends in the home design world that give artistic vision and I go above and beyond for detail and satisfaction.

What makes me proud to do what I do is seeing how thrilled customers are with how their property looks. When you repaint a home to exactly what you prefer, you naturally feel better living there, and giving a homeowner that feeling is my goal. Making others happy with my work is the real reward I take home with me when a job is finished and I do believe that sets me apart in the painting industry. I don’t want to cast a shadow on other painters, but I know there are a lot of guys out there that do it as a means to an end, so knowing I have the passion and hunger to make beautiful work keeps me going.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
There’s to so much to love with the Denver Metro Area. It’s extremely easy to navigate (you can always figure out what direction you’re facing, just look at the mountains!) compared to where I’m from, it’s such a melting pot of people from all over the country, the music scene is a ton of fun here and I love how heavily influenced the culture is by the outdoor recreation world. In my 3+ years of being here, I’ve met so many people my age that all came out here for similar reasons which makes it a ton of fun.

For the negatives, Denver can be a pretty expensive place to live, but you pay for everything that I mentioned above. It can get cold, but as someone from the bitter cold Northeast, it’s VERY manageable. I wish the city never got snow and stayed above 50 degrees so I could paint outside year round, but as a skier I can’t complain.
