Hi Danny, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Oat Paws began with my dog, Kora, and a simple idea: creating a healthy, delicious treat for dogs that owners could feel good about. Kora has always been my biggest inspiration her joy and excitement over food pushed me to explore better options for treats. I noticed a gap in the market for ice cream made specifically for dogs, and I wanted to fill it with something both nutritious and irresistible.

With Kora as my official taste-tester, I started experimenting with recipes in my kitchen. I focused on using high-quality, all-natural ingredients, powered by oats and free from gluten, dairy, and soy. After perfecting the flavors with her approval, Oat Paws was born.

Today, we offer a lineup of flavors like Barcon Berry Blast, Om3ga Pumpkin, and Bison Banana Bliss, all designed to bring joy and health to dogs everywhere. For me, it’s not just about ice cream it’s about creating happy moments for pups like Kora and their humans to share.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s been somewhat tough, as I wear all the hats in this business. Founder, recipe developer, marketer, packager, and everything in between. Running Oat Paws means working every day, whether it’s producing ice cream, managing orders, or handling outreach, because if I take even a day off, I risk falling behind.

One of the biggest challenges has been balancing growth with my limited resources. Scaling up while maintaining the quality and care that goes into every cup has required a lot of late nights and tough decisions. Navigating the logistics of sourcing ingredients, creating professional packaging, and fulfilling orders while still trying to introduce Oat Paws to new customers has been a steep learning curve.

But despite the challenges, the joy of seeing dogs light up over Oat Paws and hearing from happy customers makes every struggle worth it. It’s a labor of love, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
