Meet Dillon Barnhart of DB Home Group

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dillon Barnhart.

Dillon Barnhart

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I got my real estate license in April of 2023. I always had an affinity for the real estate industry and have know it was my calling since a young age. Shortly after getting my license I joined Keller Williams Realty Downtown specifically joining the Leyva Home Group. I wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for my team. Alejandro, my team leader, is the reason I am so well versed as a realtor and has pushed me to be where I am at today.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been easy. 2023 was the worst year to become a real estate agent. A very high percentage of real estate agents left the industry and it took a lot to be able to keep my head up and continue this path. Especially as a young realtor, it was very trying and difficult to build my database and help people make the right decision for them with the market in the state that it was but even still, I was still able to help the families I worked with make the right financial decision and make sure they were happy and comfortable in their new homes and the transition from house to house.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about DB Home Group?
I specifically work in the residential real estate market. My goal is to help anyone and everyone make the best financial decision for their situation to ensure that not only will they be happy, but also comfortable, and set up for the future. While I will help anyone, my specialty is first time home buyers. I love being able to educate young people on the real estate industry and how the process of a real estate transaction flows.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I would say the biggest risk I’ve taken was leaving my 9-5 day job and go all in as a realtor. Losing the security of a regular paycheck was trying and scary. I think that in order to make big leaps and progress as a realtor, you have to be willing to take risks and do uncomfortable things, and that’s what drives your growth as an entrepreneur and leader.
