Meet Erin Berry of Erin Berry Bliss

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Erin Berry.

Erin Berry

Hi Erin, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Twenty years ago, my journey began, and I finally started to wake up to the truth of who I was. Until this point, I was going through the motions like most humans out in the world, feeling like I didn’t have control of my life and was being led through it.

At this time, a friend mentioned a retreat to me. I was desperate to feel differently than I did. I always knew there had to be more to life than what I was experiencing. A life that wasn’t filled with struggle but rather joy, and I really wanted to experience it. I immediately booked the retreat and left the next week to head towards a totally different way of being. Many very magical things transpired on this retreat, but one of the most important moments was when the facilitator asked me if I loved myself.

I immediately responded of course! Without even really thinking it through. Such a simple question. Such a no-brainer answer, or was it? It turns out that self-love is not so easy. This was the moment I started to hear the voice that played in the background. The one that said, you suck, you aren’t worthy, and no one likes you because something is wrong with you. Ouch! Turns out I didn’t love myself at all.

Flash forward to today, many years, and a lot of healing. I can say for certain now I love myself. The relationship we have with ourselves is the most important. This is because until we believe in our own amazingness, no one else will see it either. Most of the time, this isn’t our fault. At some point, we were told that we weren’t good enough or that we were too much of something. And we decided to believe this and make it our story.

We collect evidence through our lives that solidifies this truth. The healing journey really begins when we realize that maybe, just maybe, we don’t have to suffer. Perhaps there are people out there that want to treat us well. And even if we don’t feel it, we might even begin to wonder if we deserve better. The self love journey seems simple enough, however, it is rarely easy. This personal journey has led me to create a business and a life that teaches other humans how to do the same.

I was recently asked about my mission on this planet. It’s very simple. The more we love ourselves, the more we can love each other and our planet. A world with more love is one I wish to live in. All love comes from an overflow of self-love. Yet so often, we are taught that someone outside of us should complete us and fill us up. That others are responsible for our happiness. This could not be further from the truth.

My journey began with self-love and quickly expanded into understanding relationships. What we are up to in them and why so many of us end up in and stay in unhappy and unhealthy situations. There is a new way of relating, and my passion is teaching others how to create this for themselves. Who knew my own journey to make myself feel better would lead me to my soul’s work of helping others do the same?

Just the other day, I followed up with a previous client. She is thriving in ways that seemed unimaginable when we started our work together. Her assessment is that she started taking care of herself. It’s never too late to start this journey. It’s never too late to live a juicy, alive, and thriving life.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
There have been twists and turns, roadblocks, and some serious potholes. What I understand now is that it is all divine. You simply cannot mess up. Every point in my journey was required to get me to where I am today.

Sometimes I look back and wonder how I spent so much time in certain places, or why I chose to take the bumpiest road I could at points. For me, it was about thoroughly learning and embodying the lesson. I need to do this for my own growth, but also so I can hold the space for others to do the same from my own lived experience. A few of the struggles and biggest lessons:

Owning a business and being a single mom. I don’t think many actually grasp just what a challenge this can be. I want to inspire other women to do the same. Don’t let your circumstances define you. We are the toughest and most resilient bunch. When the odds are stacked in your favor, how do you overcome them? Covid was an interesting time. It changed the face of the coaching industry. It required a lot of surrender and trust. I feel very fortunate that I made it through.

I’ve learned that trust is something people must earn and that the most important thing we can do is honor our inner knowing and rely heavily on discernment. If it doesn’t feel right, no matter how much it sounds amazing, go with the feeling! This is how we build trust within ourselves. The road to self-love is also one of acceptance. In order for someone else to fully accept us, we have to first.

We also have to learn how to walk away from anyone or anything that does not value us. Healing is not for the faint of heart, but if you are willing, it will set you on a course to living a life full of joy and bliss.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about Erin Berry Bliss?
I am a relationship and intimacy coach. I help people with their relationship to life. If one area of life is off, it tends to affect all of the others. I specialize in helping humans regulate their own nervous systems and rewire them for safety and secure connections. This involves healing relational wounds and giving them the lived experience of a thriving life.

I do this by using all of the tools I’ve collected over the years. I focus on somatic and energetic healing and teach my clients tools they can use every day. I help them see their blind spots and insecure attachment styles so they can create what they desire. I work with individuals around their relationship with other humans, their careers, and money. I am trauma-informed and help them stop living from trauma responses.

I help people break up and heal from break ups. I also help people prepare for healthy relationships. I work with couples around intimacy and relational healing. I work with women around their sexuality and pleasure. Reminded them that pleasure is their birthright and helped them release shame and guilt about their body and desires. I lead workshops and retreats nationally and internationally and offer 1:1 coaching and group coaching.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
I work with people individually and in group settings and retreat containers.

I am always looking for fun collaborations, whether it be co-creating a retreat or a workshop.

I love good referral partners. Anyone who works with humans but doesn’t specialize in relationships or sexuality, such as massage therapists, estheticians, hairdressers, etc.
