Today we’d like to introduce you to Facebagel .

Hi Facebagel, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Matthew White aka @facebagel is a singer-songwriter, didgeridoo player and percussionist based out of Denver, CO. Mixing folk with storytelling and indie rock with an ability to adapt to most any genre, all with a silky-smooth voice draped over top. The name Facebagel came to be while selecting screen names for early 2000s chatting with AOL instant messenger with friends and became a lifelong nickname. In 2021, Facebagel began busking as a way to get himself back into the music world in his hometown of Philadelphia and that set him on the path to performing at major festivals around the country such as Firefly, Electric Forest, High Sierra Music Festival as well as well writing sync music for films, television & documentaries – Facebagel strives to share his music with you and as many people as possible.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
In 2017, Facebagel suffered from severe tendonitis in his left hand and hindered him from performing live. While coping with this new injury, Facebagel resorted to writing music with his right hand only on the piano. Though after extreme Physical Rehab through the Philadelphia Chinese Dragon Boating Team, the strength had returned and his performing became new again.

When Covid hit, most of 2021 was a time for facebagel to get out and busk in Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia and then all over the country to keep surviving and triving for the pursuit of music.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Facebagel is a live performer and entertainer. He specializes in upbeat crowd interactions, soulful performances and didgeridoo soundbath sessions. He’s most proud of taking the chances to make music his life and staying balanced with each and every step he takes toward that freedom.

What sets him apart from others is simple: Laughter. If you see Facebagel on live on stage, you will see a bright glowing laughter from him and everyone that surrounds his performance.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
The risks facebagel takes are big for his life goals: Travelling around the country with little to no money in his pocket, not knowing may people from his move to Denver, Co from philade, PA and still making a name and friends for himself.

Risk is often associated with potentially losing something, Facebagel prefers to think of it as something to gain. Even if it doesn’t work out your way 100%, you still elarn something and move forward with that knowledge to win another day!
