Meet Heather Fletcher of Denver, CO

Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Fletcher.

Hi Heather, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My story really begins with my mom. From the time I was little, she instilled in me the belief that life is precious and meant to be experienced fully. When she worked for Delta while I was in high school, that belief turned into action. I suddenly had access to the world, and I took it. On weekends, I was hopping on flights to Spain, London, Amsterdam, Paris—anywhere I could go. Those experiences shaped me deeply. Traveling taught me independence, curiosity, adaptability, and most importantly, an open mind. I learned early on that every experience—good or bad—has something to teach you if you’re willing to see it that way.

That mindset has carried me through every chapter of my life. I don’t believe in failure; I believe in growth. Challenges aren’t setbacks to me, they’re invitations to expand, evolve, and stay true to who I am. I’m endlessly curious and genuinely addicted to learning, trying new things, and becoming the best version of myself. In 2019, when I lost my mom, that philosophy became even more personal. Her passing was devastating, but it was also a powerful reminder that tomorrow is never promised. I made a promise to live life fully in her memory, and I feel her presence everywhere I go. She was the light in my darkness, and she still guides me.

Lucent Dreams was born from that promise. I started it to inspire others to seize the moment—to travel, to dream bigger, and to believe in themselves. Through Lucent Dreams, I share travel tips, affordable ways to see the world, and the mindset that has shaped my life, because I truly believe mindset is everything. It’s the foundation of my success and the reason I continue to grow. My photography is an extension of that philosophy and my creative side, influenced by my time as a model and my love for storytelling. Whether I’m capturing landscapes, building model portfolios, or creating brand imagery, I’m drawn to moments of illumination—real life, real emotion, real dreams in motion. At the end of the day, I just love capturing life and helping others to see with unclouded eyes.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I don’t believe in struggles in the traditional sense. Every bump in the road has been an opportunity to grow, learn, and realign with my purpose. That perspective has helped me stay resilient and open, even when things felt uncertain.
The most challenging moment in my life, both personally and professionally, was losing my mom. That experience changed me forever and forced me to look at life through a deeper lens. While it was incredibly painful, it also strengthened my commitment to living with intention and meaning. It reminded me that time is precious and that purpose matters more than fear.

From a business standpoint, the biggest challenge has simply been getting the word out. Building visibility and trust takes time, especially when your mission is rooted in authenticity and impact rather than quick wins. I’ve been very intentional about growing Lucent Dreams organically, staying true to my values, and focusing on creating work that genuinely inspires people. I’m patient with the process because I know meaningful growth doesn’t happen overnight.

I’m deeply confident in where I’m headed and excited about what’s ahead. I know my purpose, I trust divine timing, and I’m committed to continuing to show up with passion, positivity, and consistency. Every step—no matter how it looks on the surface—has played a role in getting me closer to the life and impact I’m meant to create.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At the core of my work is storytelling—through imagery, experience, and mindset. I’m a photographer, world traveler, and creative entrepreneur, and my work lives at the intersection of travel, lifestyle, and personal growth. Through Lucent Dreams, I create visual stories that capture real life and real emotion, whether that’s through landscape photography, model portfolios, or brand imagery. I’m known for creating work that feels luminous, intentional, and alive—images that don’t just document a moment but make you feel something.

Beyond photography, I share travel guides and tips designed to make exploring the world feel more accessible and less intimidating. I’m passionate about helping people realize that travel doesn’t have to be out of reach—it can be affordable, intentional, and deeply transformative. Travel has shaped who I am, and I love offering others the tools and confidence to step outside their comfort zones and experience that same expansion.

Another important layer of my work is holistic living and mindset. While I’m still growing this side of my platform, it’s something I’m deeply passionate about and plan to expand further. I believe true success and fulfillment come from alignment—mind, body, and spirit. That belief led me to publish my book Harnessing Nature’s Power, where I explore holistic practices and natural ways to reconnect with yourself and the world around you. It’s a reflection of how I live my life and the foundation behind everything I create.

What I’m most proud of is building a brand that feels honest and heart-led. Lucent Dreams isn’t just about beautiful visuals or travel—it’s about perspective. What sets me apart is that I don’t separate creativity from mindset or success from soul. I lead with intention, curiosity, and positivity, and I want everything I create to inspire others to live fully, trust themselves, and see life with unclouded eyes.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
If there’s one thing I’d love readers to take away, it’s this: you don’t have to have everything figured out to start living fully. Growth happens when you say yes—to curiosity, to change, to trying something new even when it feels uncomfortable. Life isn’t meant to be lived perfectly; it’s meant to be lived intentionally.

Trust your inner voice, stay open to the lessons along the way, and don’t wait for the “right time” to pursue what lights you up. Tomorrow is never promised, but today is. If you approach life with presence, gratitude, and belief in yourself, you’ll be amazed at how much unfolds for you. Live boldly, stay aligned, and never stop dreaming.
