Meet Hezekiah Hall of Altezza Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Hezekiah Hall.

Hi Hezekiah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Only in Fairy Tales is someone’s story this perfectly linear series of events, usually beginning with a negative experience and transforming into positive ones. That isn’t a reality for me. There have been many ‘hiatus’ in my videography and content creation journey.

The local Boys and Girls Club in the heart of the Denver-Montbello community is where I was encouraged to explore my curiosity for video and was given the opportunity to learn to make videos. Fifth grade I had no idea these skills would be the foundation of my business as an adult. After experiencing a mere 200 views for one of my first ever videos published to Facebook, the results of my work made me ecstatic, I felt amazing! I liked this feeling of having a vision in my mind, grabbing the camera and making it a reality! I was good at it, it was second nature for me! I learned that I love creating! And the return of my time invested was abundant once I saw people enjoying my creations.

Some of these breaks were from my own choices, lack of clarity in what I wanted. Some from God or an entity larger than me, forcing me to slow down, and get clear on what I wanted. So once high school began I took a pause from all things videos to focus on my potential as an athlete, playing varsity for both basketball and football since freshman year.

By 16, I figured out I didn’t have to be an athlete to ‘make it’, I had other skills and passions! I completed most of my high school years being a typical high school student-athlete, doing typical student-athlete things like early and late practices, games, homework, and repeating that routine. But by senior year of high school, I became an admin for a Facebook meme page that averaged 160K followers! This page was my first ‘content cresting gig.’ The meme page got me back to creating my own YouTube videos.

So I took off to college in Nebraska like most students fresh out of high school do. My videos from high school were still receiving feedback and subscribers from at least a year later! This felt like the Most High reminding me of my purpose. But I still wasn’t seeing the clear signs! Later in college I realized all the wasted momentum I built on YouTube that wasn’t being capitalized and what I truly wanted to do: create a life worth dreaming by doing what I am great at and enjoy doing! So I dropped out of college, and created my first business with old partners which has led me to the creation of my companies: Denver’s Got Next which focuses on a party and event promotion and Altezza, my consulting company which builds with business: small and big, established and new, and takes their brands to new heights through social media marketing, brand building, and much more. Both are building momentum and prices will increase as the demand continues to grow as well!

All of my experiences from the Boy’s and Girl’s club to my first YouTube success to the extracurricular activities I participated in high school to dropping out of college to my trials and errors with my first businesses all have led me here: I’m in the slingshot, ready to go and that one final push or blast is about to take off and I can feel it, it’s close! I’m at the place where a lot of things are going to start changing and changing very fast in historical ways! I’m excited for what’s to come, to be built and the connections to still be made!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My life hasn’t been a smooth road, so absolutely not has my journey as a businessman and creator been a smooth one. I have learned through tough experiences to cross my T’s and dot my I’s in business and to stay hungry! I have learned through hard lessons to know the laws of business, to research and study the field I am working, and to ask versus assume!

We all have doubters and disbelievers! What we do about ’em is what sets apart achievers and trailblazers from the losers and complainers! I thank them for giving me the fuel to this day to inspire me to continue building this business and the life I’ve always dreamt of living, if I didn’t have people doubt me or my vision I would’ve never refined my vision and got clear on my dreams and goals!

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Fortunately, prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic, I was laser-focused on building my brand’s visibility, establishing a team and mastering my skillets so the ahur down was a gift of time to build and complete tasks of the never-ending to-do list all entrepreneurs have and add to daily! The Pandemic also gave me the opportunity to connect and build more personal connections that are now helping me establish my businesses.
