Our Story
We built Cascade Xpress Carwash from the ground up and officially opened our doors in August, three years ago. It’s been an amazing journey watching our dream come to life. From the very beginning, our goal was to create a place where people could get a fast, high-quality wash and drive away with a clean, shiny car they’re proud of.

What I love most is seeing our customers every day — their smiles, their laughter, and those sparkling cars heading out of the lot. It’s a great feeling knowing we’ve built something that serves our community and makes people happy.

When I’m not at the carwash, you can usually find me out biking or spending time with my grandkids. They keep me active, grounded, and remind me what life’s all about.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Financing was one of our biggest challenges early on. Turning an idea into a real, functioning carwash takes a lot of faith, persistence, and paperwork.

Working with the City of Durango also came with its share of hurdles — permits, approvals, and a few unexpected delays. There were definitely moments when it felt like things were moving slower than we hoped. But we stayed focused, kept pushing forward, and never lost sight of our dream.

Looking back now, those challenges made us stronger and more grateful for how far we’ve come. Every obstacle taught us something new — and seeing Cascade Xpress Carwash thriving today makes it all worth it.

Cascade Xpress Carwash is a state-of-the-art tunnel carwash, proudly family owned and operated — not part of any franchise. We built this business from the ground up with one goal in mind: to offer the best wash in the area while staying true to our values of quality, community, and care.

What sets us apart is the combination of advanced technology and genuine hometown service. Our wash tunnel uses top-quality equipment from NCS designed for efficiency and precision, giving every vehicle a spotless shine. We’re also proud to operate responsibly — our reclaim system recycles about 60% of our water, making us an eco-friendly choice for our customers and our community.

Being locally owned means we’re deeply invested in Durango. We love giving back, supporting local events, and seeing familiar faces drive away with clean, shiny cars. Cascade Xpress Carwash isn’t just a business — it’s a reflection of who we are: hardworking, community-minded, and dedicated to doing things the right way.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The carwash industry is constantly evolving, and the next 5–10 years will bring even more focus on technology, sustainability, and convenience. Everyone needs a clean car — and in our area, we know how important it is to have a reliable place to wash one responsibly.

Having lived in neighborhoods with strict water restrictions, we understand how challenging it can be for people to keep their vehicles clean while conserving water. That’s one of the reasons we’re so proud of our eco-friendly reclaim system, which recycles about 60% of our water. It gives customers a way to get a great wash without the waste — a real solution to a growing concern in many communities.

Looking ahead, we see the industry continuing to innovate with more efficient systems, eco-conscious practices, and faster, higher-quality washes. We plan to stay at the forefront of those changes while continuing to offer the personal, community-based service that makes Cascade Xpress Carwash special.
