Today we’d like to introduce you to Jane Batt.
Hi Jane, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I have always loved photography but I never considered having a photography business! I began in 2017, shortly after my son was born. Through photography, I was able to rediscover myself as Someone outside of mom and wife. Expressing myself, exploring, and learning Something new helped push me through my postpartum depression.
Five years later, a huge move back to CO, and a new baby, I am still pursuing my dreams of documenting families and enhancing high school seniors’ confidence through the lens!
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not always been a smooth road. Learning how to run a business as well as still being creative has been a huge learning curve. I have also had to relocate my business from Washington State to Colorado. And continue my photography journey through pregnancy and maternity leave. As a business owners, we always experience ups and downs, but thankfully my clients, family, and friends have always supported me.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a family and senior photographer in Parker, Colorado. For families are families, I document emotion and connection! For high school seniors, I specialize in confidence. Through my work as their photographer, I enhance their confidence!
I am most proud of my senior spokesmodel team. Tperiod this is a team where we build a real community for high school seniors from different high schools. So through their senior year, I support and empower them and they empower each other. Together we do different activities like community service, team building activities and prepare them for their choice after high school.
I truly believe what sets me apart from other services is the relationships I built with my clients. Because of our relationships, we are able to capture genuine emotion, genuine smiles, and I get the chance to really provide them with an experience that they enjoy.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
As a child, I had a dream to become a teacher, a veterinarian, or a doctor. Becoming a photographer was not in the cards or even in my mind. I have always been a little spunky, a little ornery, and hilarious!
