Meet Jason Kane

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jason Kane.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
ClearedM was founded in 2021 in Phoenix, Arizona. We specialize in clear hydration packs for music festivals, concerts, and raves that are compliant with clear bag policies at events across the country. The idea for the company came about when local events began requiring clear bags. It became apparent that there was a strong demand for a clear hydration pack, but they weren’t readily available on the market. After some late nights and early mornings, we turned our idea into reality and launched our company store at ClearedM.com. We started our focus on the local market, taking advantage of a growing music community in the Phoenix area. We set up booths at music events and partnered with a local rave shop to sell our product in store. After seeing some decent success we knew we could introduce our product to a larger audience. We launched on Amazon in the Spring of 2022, just in time for a summer full of music festivals. With other events across the country requiring clear bags, our clear hydration pack became a hit and quickly gained traction in many states. Today we are continuing to offer our clear hydration packs across various channels while looking to expand our product offering. We are still in our early stages as a company, but feel we can become a brand of clear bags that will continue to grow not only in the music community but in the events and entertainment space around the World. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have been a ton of challenges along the way. Lots of highs and a lot more lows. The biggest hurdle to overcome when starting anything new is not giving up. When it comes to building a business around, what you think is a great idea, you can get caught up in fantasizing how everything will go. How fast the product will sell out, how popular it will become on social media, etc. Most of the time things won’t go as planned. It was a humbling experience for me. There were many times I thought to myself, “well maybe this isn’t for me” or “I think I bit off more than I could chew”. They were discouraging thoughts and ones that really made me think about what I was doing. What kept me going was the little bits of success I had already experienced. Building the website, the first sale, seeing a complete stranger wearing my product. It was all motivation to stick with it and continue building upon the small successes I had already seen. It made me realize that the biggest difference between the companies that you know of today and those that never came to fruition, is that the leaders truly believed in what they were building and never gave up.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Aside from building ClearedM, I also work as a client associate at a financial firm. Ever since high school, I took a keen interest in investing. As a young teen, the idea of passive income and making money in your sleep really stood out to me. I began tracking my favorite companies, following market news, and paper trading. I graduated with a Finance degree at the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Upon graduating, I took up a job at a financial firm and obtained my necessary licenses. I’ve always had a passion for helping others and hope my knowledge and experience can help make the complex financial world a bit less daunting. Investing is a great tool to build wealth and plan for the future. Unfortunately, for many people investing is an afterthought. My goal in life is to help others live out their dreams and allow them to feel confident in their current financial situation.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was always the youngest one out of my friends or the smallest one on my team. I grew up playing a lot of sports and was very competitive from an early age. I had an amazing family and a great group of friends who were always pushing me to be the best. In my quest to be the best as a kid, I always found myself thinking outside the box to find that competitive edge in whatever I was doing. I also loved traveling with my family. It allowed me to see what the World had to offer outside the small town I grew up in. Personality-wise, I’m always trying to crack a joke and bring a smile to someone’s face. Over the years, I’ve learned to not take life too seriously, so I do everything I can to brighten up someone else’s day.
