Meet Julie Vera of Rooted Consulting

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julie Vera.

Hi Julie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey started in operations, where I spent years building and refining the systems and processes that keep businesses running smoothly. I’ve always loved taking messy, complex situations and creating clarity – whether that’s through workflows, compliance, budgeting, or project execution. Over time, I realized how many small businesses, especially women-led businesses, were trying to grow without solid operational foundations, and I wanted to be the person who could help them get organized and set up for sustainable success.

Becoming a mom gave my work a new meaning. I experienced firsthand how much effort it takes to run a household, care for little ones, and still try to pursue your professional goals. It made me even more passionate about supporting other moms who are juggling the same things. That’s part of why I started hosting our walks with the Mom Walk Collective in Littleton – I wanted to create connection and community for moms, a space where we could share, support, and lift each other up. Being part of that group showed me the power of investing in the mom community, not just professionally but personally.

Today, my consulting business is an extension of that mission. I help women-led and mom-led businesses get operationally sound and confident, with systems and strategies that actually work in real life. I aim to create the kind of support network I wish I’d had – where moms and founders feel seen, empowered, and equipped to grow their businesses without sacrificing their well-being or family life.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I started my business right after having my second child, so I was juggling a newborn and a toddler while figuring out how to grow a business. It was messy, exhausting, and full of challenges, but it also taught me resilience, adaptability, and empathy. That experience gave me a firsthand understanding of the struggles other moms face while trying to build something meaningful, and it’s a big part of why I’m so passionate about supporting mom-led businesses today.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Rooted Consulting ?
My business is focused on helping women-led and mom-led businesses get operationally sound and set up for sustainable growth. I specialize in creating clarity and structure where things feel messy or overwhelming. From workflows, systems, and compliance to budgeting, planning, and execution. What sets us apart is that I combine operational expertise with a deep understanding of the unique challenges moms face while building a business. I don’t just create systems; I create systems that actually work in real life, taking into account both business goals and the realities of running a family.

I’m especially proud of the supportive, community-driven approach we take. Beyond consulting, I invest in the mom community, for example, through my involvement with the Mom Walk Collective in Littleton because I know how much connection and support can transform a mom’s business and life. We aim to provide not just guidance, but encouragement, accountability, and practical solutions that help founders feel empowered.

At the heart of our brand, we’re about helping women feel confident, organized, and ready to grow without sacrificing their well-being or family life. I define success as creating impact while staying aligned with my values and priorities. Success means helping my clients feel confident, organized, and capable of achieving their goals, all while fostering connection and community. It’s about balance, sustainability, and making a meaningful difference – both in business and in people’s lives.
