Today we’d like to introduce you to Keren Kilgore.
Hi Keren, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I got my start in publishing more than three decades ago while working for a nonprofit publishing company. At the time, I was often asked to review articles and books before they were published. As I read them, I began noticing what was missing.
Sometimes the information was there, but the connection to the reader wasn’t complete. Other times, I could see that a story or example would help bring the message to life and allow the reader to understand not only what the author was saying, but why it mattered.
I began editing more and more of the content we were publishing, and in the process, I discovered something that would eventually shape my career: I had an intuitive ability to see between the words and the lines. I could often recognize what an author was trying to say before they fully articulated it themselves. I could see where the message needed greater clarity, where a story needed to be drawn out, where something important was being left unsaid, and how all of those pieces could come together to create a much stronger publication.
That ability became the foundation of the work I do today.
Over the years, my role has expanded far beyond editing. I became an author coach, publisher, book launch strategist, and eventually the founder of Quantum Shift Media. Today, I work primarily with purpose-driven leaders, coaches, speakers, entrepreneurs, and authors who know they have something meaningful to share with the world.
My work begins with helping people uncover the powerful message that is uniquely theirs. From there, I help them transform that message into an exceptional book and then think much bigger than the book itself.
I often describe myself as an architect of author impact because I love helping authors see what their book can make possible. A book can establish authority, open doors to speaking and podcast opportunities, create new programs and services, deepen relationships, expand a platform, and become the foundation for an entire business ecosystem.
That philosophy led me to create the 90-Day Book Launch Blueprint, which helps authors strategically launch their books in a way that creates momentum long after publication day. Rather than viewing publishing as the finish line, I teach authors to see the book as the beginning of something much larger.
There is also a deeper dimension to my work. I bring together intuitive insight, spiritual understanding, creativity, and business strategy. I have found that sometimes the greatest obstacle to writing a book or stepping into greater visibility isn’t a lack of knowledge or strategy. It is an internal belief about who we are, what we are capable of, or whether our voice truly matters.
Part of my work is helping people move beyond those limitations so they can reconnect with who they really are and bring their message into the world with greater clarity and confidence.
Looking back, the thread has been remarkably consistent. I started by seeing what was missing between the words on a page. Today, I help people see what may still be missing between where they are and the impact they are capable of creating.
That is ultimately why I founded Quantum Shift Media: to help people transform their ideas, experiences, wisdom, and stories into books—and then use those books to create meaningful change in their businesses, their communities, and the lives of the people they are here to serve.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely has not been a smooth road. I have had to make many quantum shifts of my own along the way.
One of the biggest challenges has been learning to trust the evolution of my work. There have been seasons when something I had built no longer fit who I was becoming, even though it had once been successful or meaningful. Letting go of what is familiar is not always easy, especially when the next step is not yet fully visible.
I have also had to move through my own doubts about visibility, value, and whether I was truly ready for the next level of leadership. I think many entrepreneurs experience that. We can be very good at helping other people see their potential while still questioning our own.
There were also practical challenges: building a business, navigating changes in the publishing industry, learning new technology, developing new offers, creating sustainable systems, and continuing to serve clients well while growing.
But some of the most important shifts were internal. I learned that growth is not only about strategy. Sometimes it requires releasing an old belief, changing the way you see yourself, or being willing to step into a role you have not fully occupied before.
Looking back, the difficult seasons were often the ones that led to the greatest expansion. Each time I was willing to listen more deeply, let go of what no longer fit, and move toward what was emerging, something new became possible.
That is one reason the idea of a quantum shift is so meaningful to me. I have lived it. My business has evolved because I have evolved, and I now help others do the same.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
At Quantum Shift Media, we guide purpose-driven leaders to uncover the powerful message only they can share, transform it into an exceptional book, and build an ecosystem around it that expands their influence, impact, and business.
What sets us apart is a spiritual alignment component that I guide my authors through when we begin working together. The Alignment session is based on the fact that a truth and a lie cannot live in the same place at the same time. When we believe something that isn’t true (i.e., I’m abandoned, unlovable, too much, too fat, unlovable, an impostor, fear of failure, etc.), a part of our true identity separates and takes our identity with it. This part is stored in the subconscious and sends automatic signals to the conscious, logical mind, which simply believes it. The logical mind created these parts, which makes it difficult to resolve. Affirmations can go only so far. When recurring thoughts keep happening, we need to go into the subconscious and connect with our Higher Power to resolve them. The resolution is rapid and permanent.
The session is 90 minutes. There is some homework to do before we meet. The first phase guides you into a meditation, activates your imagination, and then aligns the conscious/subconscious mind. Then we shift two or three issues that are keeping you stuck. It is deep and powerful. This process makes the book writing process much easier.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Long before I became a publisher, I was the little girl who couldn’t stop reading. As the oldest of four children, peace and quiet could be hard to find, so I created my own refuge. I would check out a stack of books from the library, climb a tree in our yard, settle into the branches, and disappear into another world for hours. I usually only came down when I absolutely had to—typically to eat or use the bathroom.
Books fed an imagination that was already very active. I talked to animals and sea creatures in languages I made up, and some of my favorite childhood experiences were vivid dreams in which I could fly or live underwater.
When I look back, I think those hours in the tree were more than an escape. They were where my love of story, imagination, and possibility began to take shape. In many ways, the little girl who disappeared into books eventually became the woman who helps other people bring their own stories into the world.
