Hi Kimberly, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I always dreamed of going to South Africa. I had to get there. It seemed so magical and their story so heroic and unique.

Since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to travel excessively and always.

My mom is definitely the one who got me hooked as she loves it just as much as I do. In fact, we never cared when we got lost driving here or there back in the 90’s before cell phones. We liked the scenic route and *most* times, we always found something interesting.

Flash forward to today and Faceted Travel is your one-stop travel marketplace to reach out for curated travel plans, affordable ways to get around the globe, and get a human touch to triple check your ChatGPT plans.

In fact, there’s a bit too much information on the web. What everyone needs is a human to check the robot.

That’s where Faceted Travel comes in. We will double check your travel plans for you and research real experiences and travel times to help you determine the best ways to explore and make the most of your adventures.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Faceted Travel Agency has been a fairly smooth ride as it’s in an industry that caters to people with wide open eyes and many times – a third one.

People who love to travel and do it often (or want to) are many times very open-minded, flexible, and patient. They also know that nothing *always* goes to plan every time.

Some struggles have been the unfortunately negative experience of travel influencers. They are abundant. And while they are sometimes helpful, they are, themselves often influenced and many times show just the highlights.

I think it’s important to share the realistic side of traveling, especially as our world is experiencing so many struggles. At Faceted Media, our reviews and travel consulting includes all sides of travel and helps you become aware of it – the amazing, great, good, okay, meh, and not great (avoid…). It’s crucial to know it all. We’re here for you.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We specialize in realistic travel planning and coordination, as well as guidance on travel adventures and how to travel hack with credit cards, points, and tools.

We’re known for long travel (3+ weeks) as well as “off the grid” experiences and how to make travel work with your lifestyle.

We also specialize in tips on homeschooling, worldschooling, making money online, and creating a family wealth unit.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
Follow your heart and gut! Just keep listening to yourself and putting yourself out there. The mentor typically finds you…. verses the other way around.

Also, YOU are your best teacher.

As far as networking, it doesn’t have to be a typical meet-up at a coffee shop in suits. It can be you volunteering for your favorite cause, running a 5K and gathering a team together, teaching a small class, or even attending a workshop.
