Meet Kristen Nix of Scott’s Automotive & Service Centers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kristen Nix.

Hi Kristen, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers.
I don’t have some grand story about how I was an overachiever destined to do great things in this world. My journey started the opposite way. I started out as a punk kid, was pretty stupid, and learned some hard lessons in life.

But I also learned a lot about people and how delicate life is, which in an odd way can make you appreciate what really matters in life at an early age and toughen you up so you never back away from a challenge.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I think the biggest struggle anyone has is learning self-worth, learning to love yourself, and learning to forgive yourself when you fail. Once a person realizes that your strongest support system comes from within, you realize how unstoppable you can become.

Everything in life is up to you, your perception of today, your view of yesterday, and where you are headed tomorrow.

The only place that time really exists is now and the only impact you can make is now, so it’s important to meet the day with everything you’ve got and with a positive outlook.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am the President and C.F.O. at Scott’s Automotive. Our Mission is pretty simple, to take care of People and the Cars they drive. We strive t offer every community the honesty, professionalism, and quality in auto repair that we would expect for our own family. We are known for providing a high level of customer service to our patrons. We understand how stressful auto repair issues can be, especially when people don’t have the time to deal with juggling work, family, and a trip to the repair shop.

Our approach is very empathetic as we try to keep our customers’ life in balance while their vehicle is in the shop. We can do that by offering loaners, and shuttle rides, and dedicating ourselves to getting them back on the road as quickly as possible. We also offer a better warranty than dealerships offer, 5 years or 50,000 miles. We are proud to employ the highest level of automotive professionals and back up our workmanship with our generous warranty.

We are in the people business, we just happen to fix cars!
