Today, we’d like to introduce you to Lori Welsh. Lori was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Faith Koltak.
Lori, can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As a young girl, I knew I was different but it took me several years to understand exactly what that meant. As the years passed I came to realize I had a passion for community; for helping others; for making a difference in people’s lives. I felt everyone should know they are loved by someone and this became a theme throughout my life.
Maybe this came from being raised within a religion that never felt like a good fit for me. Expectations put upon me at a young age to follow religious rules that made me very uncomfortable and taught others it was okay to hate like me just because we are different. However, this never made sense to me because God teaches love for all, not hate. You see I had realized I was a lesbian. This went against everything I knew to be good and I thought I was a substandard human being who would never be accepted by my family and friends. Still, I trudged forward doing my best to make my best life.
And so, the story began for me. A life that would include a passion for caring for others and pouring out my heart so others may feel loved by even just one person. One small act of kindness, one smile, one bag of groceries for an elderly person as they walk to their car with a cane or walker.
Also, I volunteer as the Vice President for National Honor Tour Fort Logan Cemetery. This is important to me because it is a way to give back to family who’s loved ones have given the ultimate sacrifice for our American freedom. (Pictures from our annual Memorial event are at the end of this interview). We believe in educating and honoring as we tour the nation.
Let’s talk about your work and career – what else should we know?
I worked in hospital healthcare for 30 years as a Pharmacy Buyer. It was my job to assure all hospital departments were well stocked with medications for our patients. I was also responsible for assuring all of our satellite facilities, emergency rooms, clinics, and surgery centers had all life safe drugs needed for each patient, exactly when it was needed. Aside from inventory control and working closely with department managers and pharmacy management; I worked with my manager to create a new system for our hospital called medication charity care. Medication Charity Care allowed us to work with indigent patients for “recovery” of monies related to expensive drugs these patients could not afford. This was the niche and program I had been waiting for so that our team could make yet another difference in our patients lives. As you can imagine, this passion continued to grow. I was constantly looking for new ideas and new ways to give back. I moved into the corporate pharmacy world and extended this new charity care plan to all patients across our system and to all patients across the nation for the our system with the help of amazing staff within all our facilities. The reward and feedback for this program was astounding. That is until Big Pharma changed the way they do business and changed up the rules making it more difficult for hospital pharmacies to make a difference. I needed a new challenge. That is when I began my new journey and did the hard work of finding my true purpose in life. I knew I needed to move on but what, where, how, and with who? That journey my friends is just beginning! I have recently completed my Reiki I and II Certifications as well as several practice sessions to hone my new skill. I am beginning to see clients as I move into my new career in the Healing Arts. My passion to give back is still the passion that has burned so bright in me all of these years!
So, as we mentioned to our audience earlier, you were introduced to us by Faith Koltak and Perfect Wisdom, LLC and we really admire them and what they’ve built. For folks who might not be as familiar, can you tell them a bit about your experience with Perfect Wisdom, LLC.
Faith and I know each other from our old Arvada neighborhood. We lived down the street from each other for several years. We met at a neighborhood get together and I felt a kind and kindred connection with Faith right away.
As we became acquainted it became obvious that Faith has an amazing gift to share with others. At that time, it was her ability to connect with and read tarot cards for individuals looking for answers and seeking some sort of comfort on a spiritual level. Faith has an amazing way of being open, non-judgmental, kind and loving but also holds the person accountable when needed.
I admire and love Faith for her tenacity and love for self to do the hard work even when it was the last thing on earth she wanted to do. And folks, I am talking HARD work. She has been to the depths and back and that’s how is THAT GOOD!
Once I “knew” and decided my time in healthcare was done and I needed to share my passion in other way. I looked up Faith for her “one of a kind” life coaching program (I found this out later as I experienced it). When we first spoke and decided to work together Faith kept mentioning the program as breakthrough sessions. I now know why and more on that in a few.
At the beginning, Faith had me sign a contract. Now, because of who I was at that time and having been a contract manager in my past life. This made me a little nervous because I am aware of “binding” contracts. At that point, I knew she was going to hold me accountable. A momentary personal fear or bit of nervousness hit me. Alas, I knew from the beginning I wanted to do this work with Faith because she did the work herself, I trust her, she is loving, kind, non-judgmental, and accepting in every way. One of the most trustworthy people I have come to know in my life. And so, we proceeded.
There are several modalities related to these life coaching sessions. To name a few and most important are quantum Change Process and Quantum Time Release. Faith goes through a timeline of your life events. Lists of family and friends to discuss and determine who you may need some relationship work with, or healing, maybe forgiveness as well. And, ;ets not forget the deep dive into your inner self and that hard work. We did work on shifting values and beliefs as well.
I want everyone to know the amazing Life Coach Faith is and how it has changed my life in so many ways! However, I also do not want to give away too much of the amazing experience each individual will have while participating in these breakthrough sessions. All of which were difficult yet enlightening and lightened the load I had felt on my shoulders my entire life. It is about connecting with your inner self and making changes for a better life for you and all those who get to experience you as you are!
And the money, worth every penny and I would do it again!!
Because of Faith and my sessions with Faith, I am able to clearly see and move toward my true purpose. Not just in my career but in all aspects of my life. I am happier, more motivated, get more exercise, cook more, have better relationships, communication has improved in different ways, I am no longer afraid to do things I was told I “couldn’t” or “shouldn’t”. When someone challenges my desire to follow my dream I can choose to let it roll of my back. It’s my dream and my dream only.
It is because of Faith, I am able to begin a new career, I am passionate about, that allows me to work around my daughters schedule. Something I have never had before and is very important to me and my daughter. I have the ability to invest in myself and my dreams. In fact, I am embarking on a new certification to add to my practice and a few others coming in the near future. I now know, I will never give up on myself or my dreams and I have Faith to thank for taking me on this journey with her.
Because after all, these are called ‘Break through Sessions.” Well guess what, I broke through all the junk that has been holding me back in life and I am finally LIVING!!!
