Meet Mallory Ham

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Mallory Ham. Mallory was introduced to us by the brilliant and talented Jen Bilger

Mallory, can you walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today?
I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Babson College in 2017, the country’s number one school for entrepreneurship. After graduation, I worked for marketing agencies as a Media Planner & Buyer for four years. In October 2020, my CEO asked me to work under him as a Director of Business Development, an opportunity I could not pass up. I worked in sales for this advertising agency for two years and grew exponentially.

Starting a sales career during the COVID-19 pandemic certainly posed challenges, but I was very fortunate to have an expert team in my corner supporting me. On top of the invaluable training, I received from my CEO, I also started working with a remarkable Sales Coach, Jen Bilger.

In addition to sales training, Jen helped me discover my passion for helping people and encouraged me to try coaching. After about a year of preparation, I left my sales job and launched my coaching business, Neurture, in March 2023.

Please tell us more about your brand, Neurture – Coach Mallory Ham, CBC.
As a Certified Behavioral Consultant, I leverage the DISC assessment to gain a firm understanding of my clients and their challenges. Through my evaluation of human behavior, I enact positive change by helping clients identify the hidden roadblocks preventing them from achieving their goals. I work closely with each client to define the desired outcome, evaluate solutions, and develop an action plan. My flexibility and adaptability allow me to customize my coaching packages to each client’s goals and needs.

My services include leadership development, team building, sales, and career coaching. I firmly believe in leveraging support systems to help get you to where you want to be. Throughout my life, I have been fortunate to work with coaches, managers, and mentors who believed in me even when I couldn’t believe in myself. Neurture was created in response to my passion for people and desire to pay it forward. In providing a robust support system for motivated teams and individuals, I promise to guide each client toward their ideal self. I am most proud of the authenticity my brand conveys. I wanted my business to reflect who I am, and I think it does just that.

I am an approachable and empathetic coach who leads with kindness, compassion, and a sense of humor. My job is not to tell people how to live their lives, it’s about strategically solving problems through an objective perspective. By leveraging my unique communication skills, I build trusting relationships with my clients that drive positive results.

Jen Bilger and Coach Jen Bilger have been great to us and I know you’ve got a great relationship with them as well. Maybe you can tell our audience a bit about Jen Bilger and Coach Jen Bilger and your experience with them.
Jen and I met at a Denver technology sales networking event. Her presentation on personality types blew me away, so I approached her at the end of the event, hoping she would work with me. We immediately hit it off and got to work. Jen helped me discover many things about myself that were hindering my sales capabilities and overall potential. She taught me how to overcome fears detracting me from accomplishing my goals.

During our third session, I revealed that sales and marketing were not my passion, which Jen already knew about me from our conversations. From here, Jen and I started doing career coaching together to help me determine my next step. After going through many pros and cons lists, I decided to pursue a field that allowed me to help people and tap into my humanitarian side. Overwhelmed by the idea of returning to school at the time, Jen felt my personality catered to what she does and encouraged me to pursue a coaching career. Knowing how much I enjoyed learning about my DISC profile with Jen, I decided to try it.

From here, Jen took me under her wing, giving me the proper training and guidance to launch my coaching business. I became certified in the DISC assessment, opened an LLC, built a website, and created a team-building workshop with Jen’s support. After many months of preparation, I finally left my sales job and launched my coaching business, Neurture, in March 2023. I’m also proud to share that I enrolled in a Master of Social Work program this past May, something I never thought I’d have the courage to do. Working with Jen has completely changed my life. She instilled a confidence in me that allowed me to pursue my passions, and for that, I am forever grateful to her!

Jen is a Certified Behavioral Consultant and professional coach. In addition to her expertise in human behavior, her 15+ years in corporate HR make her a tremendous asset to any business. She is a pleasure to work with because she gets to know her clients as people and employees. Jen cares about the well-being of her clients, both personally and professionally, ensuring that her efforts bring positive outcomes to both. Jen is also a wizard when it comes to reading people. She can pick up on the slightest nonverbal cues, pitches, and tones to determine if someone means what they say, which is how she knew I wasn’t passionate about sales and marketing before I told her.

Jen does not push her clients toward a solution. Instead, she helps them weigh all options to determine the most optimal solution. Jen always says, “People usually know what they want; they just don’t know how to say it.” Jen has built an entire business around helping people admit the things they might be scared or unaware of. I recommend Jen to any business or team needing cohesion, increased productivity, or enhanced sales strategy. I also recommend Jen to any individual wanting to improve themselves but don’t know how. Not to mention, she’s also an author and a fabulous public speaker!
