Meet Megan Krajco of Denver

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Krajco.

Hi Megan, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I started my career in apparel design after studying at the University of Wisconsin–Stout, where I earned my degree in Apparel Design and Development. From there, I moved to New Hampshire for an internship at Garnet Hill, and what was supposed to be a three-month role quickly turned into five years of growth. I worked across ready-to-wear and activewear, learning how to balance creativity with technical design and product strategy. That experience opened the door to other opportunities in the industry—from designing for lifestyle brands like Gaiam and Fresh Produce to eventually launching my own consulting studio here in Colorado, where I partnered with startups and mission-driven brands on everything from textile design to product development. In 2022, I joined Pact as Design Director, where I was able to further develop my leadership in sustainable fashion. Today, I lead product design at Paka Apparel, a B Corp based here in Colorado, where we’re pioneering alpaca fiber in performance apparel. It’s been a journey that’s combined my love for nature, storytelling, and thoughtful product creation—and I feel really lucky to be doing it in a place that inspires so much of my work.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Certainly not! I’ve definitely had great stretches of good, but without obstacles life can get a little dull. I’ve been apart of leadership changes, companies closing their doors, and brands just shifting their values away from mine. I’ve met all of these challenges with more curiosity as I’ve moved through my career, and that mindset shift makes it easier to face anything that comes my way.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I help brands bring beautiful, intentional product to life by blending creative vision with process-driven design. My specialty is in taking a holistic approach so every part of a product or collection feels thoughtful and aligned. I’ve worked across design, development, and strategy, and I’m known for bridging the gap between creative storytelling and executable, scalable product. What sets me apart is my ability to think like both a designer and a builder—I can visualize a product’s emotional impact while also structuring the systems to get it made efficiently. Whether I’m designing apparel, creating original prints, or guiding brands through seasonal planning, I bring clarity, and a deep understanding of how product connects people to story.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I’m always open to connecting to creative professionals and apparel brands from start ups to large scale on any type of project or simply to share ideas and challenges. Send me an email to connect!
