Meet Michael Mitchell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Mitchell. 

Hi Michael, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was really enthusiastic about content creation from a very young age. I started my career when I was in middle school and have had several YouTube channels where I feel like I was able to harbor my creativity through multiple how-tos, suggestive and comparative videos in the fields of technology, fitness, and comedy. 

My niche ended up falling on dedicated to sneaker-related content. I started A Sneaker Life in 2013 and gained popularity almost immediately attracting fashion enthusiasts his way. My content is based on things like price rates, structure, buying options, suggestions, sustainability, and design. A Sneaker Life also provides online shopping options for sneakers by recognized brands such as Asics, Adidas, Nike, Jordan, and New Balance amongst others. 

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Social media is a tough job with high highs and low lows trying to keep the rush of staying at the top. Between hateful comments and content not doing as well as you’d wish that’s really only been the hard part. 

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Solid sneaker content is what I specialize in, I try to create the best engaging content I can and feel very proud of that, and authenticity is one of the things I think sets me apart from others. I believe my viewers see that my content isn’t solely based on clout and how I truly care for your viewers. 

We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Family is above all.
